@ RSutter hey bro do you know how I can purchase one of these Darkride Krueger mask? I went to Darkride-studios.com and it says that Darkride-studios domain is for sale, with a telephone number to call if interested in purchasing. Is this guy still even making/selling mask anymore? I would love to buy one and use it for Halloween this year 2016.

Wow! An old thread revitalized Glad to hear you're getting into the Krueger family. The hat I used in my costume was made by a talented guy from the UK named Ian Hallet. You should be able to find him on Facebook. I am not sure if he still makes hats.

A good alternative is the cheap Indiana Jones Halloween hat (found on Ebay and in costume stores like iParty, etc.). You can easily strip the ribbon of and reshape it using steam. The Indy hat tends to be a bit stiffer though.

You also want to make sure to measure your head when wearing the mask first to accurately size your hat. The silicone definitely adds quite a bit of thickness. A tight hat on the silicone can also damage the paint when you remove/put on the hat.
