found a nice mask today

was out on a wander today and by chance found this mask, unpainted foam rubber, and it smells like sweets, its a really good facial sculpt i thought, so i bought it. I am of course going to repaint it and add some dreads and new teeth as the ones it had were also foam and stuck on poorly whad do you think? nice find huh?

also take a look at the tag on the back of the head, anyone know this guy? is it a recast or anything?

It was store bought, there was three of them, and i just had to buy it, it was from a local party shop, they usually have about a hundred different masks, some licenced they usually do the rubies stuff and smiffys and stuff but this one was unlike any of the the other store bought ones just from the amount of detail on it, thats why i thought maybe a recast.

Poor guy- he has no dread holes.

You are gonna have to seal that mask up really well (inside and out) if you want it to last. Foam latex can rot and mildew. I wouldnt advise wearing it either.

Ive heard the name bandied about the lair but what is permawet? and is there a uk alternative?

I would not use that concoction they are using the the uk as a permawet subsitute. Who kows what it will do the foam. Im not sure if Monstermakers.com ships to the uk yet.
