Dont want to slow you down with questions Paul , but can I ask how you get your masters for the armour and soon to be helmet, do you sculpt or print them ? The armour looks so smooth that I would imagine the parts are printed but I could be wrong.

do you have any more pics of the cast upper armour yet ? , the taster you posted has certainly wet my appetite

no 3D printers here unfortunately. It all starts out life as Kingspan insulation foam lol, roughly shaped, clay sculpt, throw away mould, fibreglass cast then almost a year of sanding body filler and redoing everything youve just done a bajillion times and TA DAAA! :lol

Ill get get a few of the other bits cast, trimmed, polished an then I can show those together and get some photos of it being worn!

There's no school like the old school I say, thats how I made my tie pilot mini helmet and how I am now doing my mini cylon helmet at the moment.
Nice work so far.

Yes, this run is just armor. Helmet will need to be purchased separately when MIMIC makes it and figures out his price

right on, thanks for the clarification. Somewhere I got under the impression that helmets would be included but shipped a few weeks later. Not sure where that came from, possibly just my imagination.

I asked Mimic when I ordered and he informed me the helmet was with it but came a few weeks later. It would probably be best to ask him directly though.

Yes we are including the helmet for everyone on this run that supported us during the build
We will be sending those who ordered the armor one of our TLJ helmets when they are done.

still 1 place open on the armor if anyone wants in.

Well I wanted to provide them for those guys who jumped onboard early as they are the reason this run went ahead, then we felt bad to not include them with later orders lol but I was going to wait until we had finished the sculpt to announce it. People have shown us enough support it's the least we can do.

Anyway, abs butts and yokes at the minute, can't wait till I've got a few of these abs done as they are by far the most complicated component to cast. The legs are going to be a breeze and I can't wait!
