From what I can see on your thread here, this looks like the best set of armor available. Yes just like you I was very impressed with this armor when I first saw it.
Very much like a new hope when I first saw this way back in 77.

Good question. I know people have varying techniques on adhering various attachments. Good time to note that if we all agree on anything the armor should come with or have built in to it to help the attachment process I'm more than happy to do it. Please feel free to post any ideas. For example would having some kind of eyelet or buckle built in the right places help everyone?? Let us know

Anything that can assist with the strapping process would be very helpful, i have a couple of jobs coming up that can go towards the deposit on this.☺ hopefully with that and selling off bits here and there I'll eventually get a set of armor from you.

I like the harness system which could be used for this armor, my only concern with the fibreglass is that if the buckles or some form of eyelet are installed while the armor is being formed this would be stronger than hot melt glue on a totally different material.
I've used hot melt glue on abs for my AT AT drivers costume which is great but abs is not as flexible as the fibreglass used here.
Just an idea at this point, great find and nice share, thank you for that.

Last progress pictures posted are looking good.
I've got a few queries -
Are you intending to cut out the pill holes/oval recesses on the chest, biceps, shins etc or will that be up to the owner?
The forearms both have a small square and a vent will these be cut out?
The 2 horizontal belt boxes that attach to the rubber belt have a solid 25mm black rubber base that fits under the boxes for a flush fit (screen accurate method) Will this be included in your offering?
What is your plan for the spats in how will they close around the shin?
Also can you post a high res picture close up of your greebies/latches...

I was planning on cutting certain parts out, the recesses on the chest the 000000 \___/ details
most other black details, off of the top of my head, are going to be black vinyl decals that I need to get finalised and measured asap so I can get a friend to cut them. I did have a thought about testing thin pieces of gloss black ABS laser cut and forming them in... just seems sturdier than a decal??
As for the belt boxes, if you could supply any specific reference showing those details I'll do my best to replicate it. I can use either black Latex or urethane rubber for the belt, if there is a bulk of rubber under the belt boxes then urethane will probably be preferable?
The spats are probably going to be two part and just sleeve over one another at the bottom of the leg armor. I'm busy finishing the back of the lower legs so I can build the spats to fit over them at the moment.

Regarding the recesses on the armor that have the black colour. I see the chest piece is taken care off from your reply but are you able to replicate these as per the screen suits...i.e. on the handguards, the forearms i.e.
Hopefully you can see the recesses...
Also I forgot to ask about the metal holster on the thigh? Is this part of your offering or is that up to the owner to source?

thanks for sharing that information on the belt boxes, we can definitely make it like that and it'll be urethane rubber.
The cod we will continue to work until it's right, it's not there yet you are correct, thank you for the pics.
As for the recesses, all the ones that are on the screen suits will be on mine if that's what you mean? Not all of them are on there yet as I add them after the overall surface shape of that area is sculpted, they're then separately cut and sunk in. Some are white and some will have the black decal/insert applied by us.
as for the holster we've been trying to get it organised for a while to add it to the set but we haven't finalised any of it yet so refrained from mentioning it. But we hope we can add it to the armor.
Im sure there are points I've missed, anything else just mention it even just to double check that I haven't missed it. It all helps.

This looks absolutely gorgeous, MIMIC - that gel coat fiberglass looks like the closest finish I have seen to the real thing. These are gonna be the best FOTK armor sets around

I would advise against cutting out any of the pill details or the chest emblem. They're decals on the screen-used suits.
As for the counter belt box, don't use the pictures posted above for reference. They're not from a screen-used suit, nor good replicas. Here's a good one from an original armor that you can rely on:

PERFECT! So that shows what the rubber part looks like without the white part. The textured vinyl is interesting, must be done to break up any reflection I guess. Now I know what to do with that, Thank you.

Can you also confirm if decals were also used on the rest of the screen used suits in particular -
on the bicep holes
forearm recesses/square
handplate recesses
chest square and back circle
TD and shin recesses
Be great to see anymore of up close screen used suit pictures if you have any.

I don't have pictures that can clarify with absolute certainty most of these areas, but for me the black details are mostly decals. Some could be cut-out but they could also very much be just painted. Hard to tell.
