At least the Hello Kitty was a photoshop. Darth Gayder is the real deal.

OK, the over-published Hello Kitty Vader that everyone has seen was in fact a photoshop job of the enclosed WHITE Vader that really exists.
There is also a REAL pink Vader that is less well-known, pic also attached.

The original Hello Kitty Vader was a photoshop job from someone at TDH, based on the white Vader (of which there are at least two at this point - plus the pink). Someone actually produced it however. So, now there is a real Hello Kitty Vader :eek

There's nothing stopping anyone saying they think it's great.
I don't think anyone here wants to attack the person who did this personally which would be uncool we are just expressing an opinion on the costume

I believe the whole point of making such a clearly outlandish variation on the classic Vader is to get attention.
Well, it got our attention.
When you do something publicly, you have to accept whatever the public reaction is, positive or negative. Whether you care about getting a negative response or not is moot - you put it out there, so you get what you get. If you don't want a response, keep your work private.
I don't think the posts have been particularly mean-spirited. Vader is a holy icon around here, so of course people who see this version will have a strong reaction. I see people poking fun, not bashing.
If this were a US history forum, and someone posted a picture of George Washington in a pink wig, there'd probably be some strong responses, too.
