Shoulder Cannon Options

Ok seeing as Im new to HL Im still learning. Im trying to see if I can make a pred costume and Im not sure which technique I should do for the should cannon.

  1. Foam (just cut and try to piece together a cannon)
  2. Toy (buy a toy gun and just mod it)
  3. Get a round fake security camera (thats motion sensored)
Which have you tried? Or which way would be easiest/best?

-Thanks in advance

Why not just combine them all. Don't think it would hurt anything. :(

Although, the moving Plasma Caster is always cool as all Hades.

PredatorPrincess, I have seen a few toy laser guns that have been modded with Foamies into very cool Plasma Casters. I'm going that route I think. I also may try the plastic tube/peanut butter lids/cardboard box/Foamies route as well. Gather some household items with interesting and basic shapes. A hot glue gun is great for sticking parts together to see what looks good. Before you know it I'm sure something will start to take shape for you.

Oh and welcome from one newbie to another!

Oh one more question how are you guys getting this to stay on your shoulder?

As I said mine was made from Foamies, PVC's (which is not so thick) and some parts of remote controlled car for the Animatronic stuffs..
So Its not that heavy and difficult for you to put on your shoulder.. I just used some Bolts,Nuts and Velcro to mount the caster on the back piece of my Armor.. The foamies are the main Plasma caster and the PVC's are the neck of the caster which is also the support to help the Cannon stand firmly..
Hope this helps (y)

I'm doing foamie over the fake-o securtiy camera -

bought the fake security cam for 6 bucks on Amazon - so the price was right.

Chopped the heck out the camera till its mostly a base and motor -
Applied PVC, scraps and foamie to get the right shape
Moved the red LED and Motion sensor that it has
Moved the batteries down out of the camera body to the base so its properly weighted to be shoulder mounted

Modeling the body on it right now. So far I'm pleased.
