Thermal Camera + Display

Hello,
I am trying to create thermal camera which will later be used in the mask.
Already made a prototype (see attachment) but had problems with it. And it stopped working after being removed from breakout board.

Does anyone have experience with something like this?
Can you recommend me different camera (this one was MLX90640)?

The display I have is 128x128.
The camera was 32x24 which is minimum acceptable resolution (and it is still very low).
I know there are 8x8 sensors but it would be useless data.

FLIR is what you want to go with. They still sell to hobbyists I believe but you are looking at some pricey hardware.

I was thinking about something cheaper but FLIR Radiometric Lepton Dev Kit V2 - KIT-15948 - SparkFun Electronics will have to work. It is even much better resolution (even tho it is low framerate).
Thank you.

This video shows how youtuber the Hacksmith built a working predator helmet.

Friend already sent me this one but it is overkill as I want to fit predator face beneath it.
