Foam G1 style Ravage.

Thank you for the compliments.
Here is the latest. I have finished all four legs and feet, they need a
little cleaning but that's nothing. All I need to do now is the tail, bottom jaw
and underbelly. Then I need to build a base of some sort. I am going to
supporting Ravage with a wooden poll (Eventually I will get a clear acrylic
tube) the poll will be coming out around the middle of him and be fixed to a
small flat wooden base, high enough that his feet will rest on the floor but not
actually support him.

Here are all the pieces for the feet.

And here is everything balanced together. I can not glue the feet to the legs
or the legs to the body yet as they need to be painted.

Haven't been able to do to much more since it has been to cold to do any painting. But here is what I have done over the past few days. All the under coating is done, tomorrow should be all the top coats and then Wednesday gluing everything together.

wow....this is awesome....LOVE IT!! (y)thumbsup

...and I was just thinking "geeze, i want a dog but don't want the hassle" ...this would be an awesome alternative!! LOL!!

Well, the weather was a little windy but warm enough to finish the painting. I have just finished gluing him all together.
He is able to support his own weight, but I will be making a stand for him with a clear rod for support as over time the legs will start to bend.

what if you built a metal armature of some sort to put on the inside of the legs?
or before you glue it all together put dow rods on the inside of the legs...just an idea

I might do that with the next one. I did that with my R2 and Wall-e. I am also looking in to making the joints movable on the next one. :)

thats probably a good idea to make movable joints....i would think that he'd balance better if you could toy around with his poses
