so Flesh Hunter Mark II is under way. lol..

Well bio number 2 anyway..

The bio is a Hez P1.. the face on it is from skunk.. it was a test piece he was using for his paints etc and he offered it to me to use as a trophy on fleshie.. I could think of no other way than to stretch it across the P1...
What you see now is it coated with just gamesworkshop flesh colour.. I will add more detail to this once the next few weekends are over.. its just held on with strips of industrial velcro.. i didnt want to glue anything down incase i want to use the P1 on its own...

Yeah but, when there under your chin it means something intirely different. Lol! I have to say man, the face on the mask was a brave move. It definitley says this guy means business. Cheers man on crossing that line in more ways than one!

Nice one Colm....I thought you would have used himas a dream catcher type trophy spread out between two sticks or something.

so i finally got to make some more progress on this bio... I got myself some acrylic inks today.. spoke to the guy in the store and he advised me that they were every bit as good as FW inks.. which it turns out are a good deal more expensive than the ones i got...

So i picked up a few and headed off home.. sat down with the airbrush and well ended up with this..

its only the first few layers. cant see a whole lot.. plus lighting is ****.. lol.... i will be picking up more colours during the week..

anyway for first time attempting any sort of head painting its not to bad. a few runs... but thats just inexperience getting me..

Dig the whole concept Colm... one thought... maybe get a second throw-away mask and piece it together with the one you already have on the bio, making sure to noticably stitch them together and paint the second piece slightly off-color from the other, so it looks like you've killed multiple preds for the leather face... Just a thought, but I like your idea as is too.

sounds like a plan scott.. maybe something i will look at... thanks for the comment..

i had to do a bit of a repair on the legs of these.. after wearing it i ended up with a substantial hole on the left thigh...the latex was thinish in these places.. So i had some latex trimmings around so i glued these into place.. i then started to paint them to look like war wounds.. a small bit of green and i'm away... again i think it adds character to fleshie...

it may get some liquid latex added both insie and out for good measure... altho i can see these legs being retired soon for display purposes...

Bad news first.. FLesh Hunter's head is up for sale along with his Bio..

Good news is I finished painting the Mark II BIo..
I'm happy with it..took a few trys but i got there..

i really enjoyed painting this.. ok the firsttaste of painting i had was the legs hands and feet.. i had never touched a pred head... so this gave me a taster of what it will be like. i didn't do any real pattern.. i had P2 and P1 in my head but just went for it really....

has me thinking now of repainting the whole suit.. well apart from the head.. i just wouldnt have the heart or the mind to do it....Oh yea i'm keeping it to.... so i guess a new head is gonna be called for..
whats hard to see in the pics is the pred blood on the bio itself... in person it looks cool..

I'm really liking the concept, and think that Scott offers a pretty good idea. The bio w/mask reminds me of Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The new concept makes me feel like Flesh Hunter went on a rampage and is now adding his kills to suit. Are you modifying anything else? If so, I can't wait to see what you come up with.

You concept fits well with the movie my friend, "fear is reborn!"

as for more changes.. well i've just completly repainted the torso.. arms and legs next... EDIT: Pics are up..

first few pics are of the second -third coats of paint..

last 2 pics are it as it stands now.. i need some more greys on it..

Am i happy. yes and no... colours are not quite what i wanted altho its not far off.. on the left chest the paint ran.. this happened while having an argument with herself.. i have it sorted now and it actually dired out well..
when i painted over the existing paint with the base coat of white it was a heart stopping moment.. I was like WTF are you doing... but i'm happy enough now..

so with the new movie coming in the next few weeks i wanted to finally put to bed some of the things that needed finishing on fleshie Mark I... one of the things i had an issue with at the start was the harness for the trophy poles... well this is sorted now.. you can see in the pics.. in the pics i'm holding it in place as it is measured to fit over the latex skin.. and not just me so its a bit big..

i also wanted to do something more with the trophy human head so i stuck two blades coming out of his head and bloodied him up a bit more..

i'm also playing with the idea of givin him an eye patch.. this has had mixed comments so far, so i'm still unsure... if it is going t become a permanent fixture i will actuall cut the piece of flesh to shape properly and attach it and make it look like its riveted to his head...
