First images of Hollywood Collectible Group's Aliens Marine PRODUCTION Pulse Rifle!

Re: FedEx delivered a little piece of happiness today. =)

Beautiful piece, can't wait to get mine! Hoping it arrives in time for Dragon Con so I can get it ready to carry (provided I get my armor done too!). It's gonna look mighty good in my hands :D

Re: FedEx delivered a little piece of happiness today. =)

Nice pics!

What is the circle joining the two shrouds together?

Thanks, bud! :) I ran a small magnetic check across the entire replica and am confident that the circular piece is merely the magnet that secures the magazine in place.

Re: FedEx delivered a little piece of happiness today. =)

Now seriously get to the meat and potatoes. How easily does this shroud come apart?:love

You're gonna want ta shoot me but, I just can't bring myself to take it apart. At least, not this one. But, to answer your question, there are no obvious weld marks. :D

Re: FedEx delivered a little piece of happiness today. =)

Thanks Tom!

So are the allen key bolts holding the shroud together, real bolts or moulded?

Every single screw head is steel except for the one on the bottom of the grip and the magazine release tabs. Hope this helps.

Jeez Tom, that is truly a thing of beauty. Desperately wanting one now! If I didn't have the Golden Gun on preorder... argh...

Re: First images of Hollywood Collectible Group's Aliens Marine PRODUCTION Pulse Rifl

Ahhhh what the heck. I just ordered one on the 6 month plan. :lol
One question Tom. Is there a hook for a sling on the stock? I didn't see one on the pics.

Yes. It is there. You can also make it out in one of the pics but, it is difficult to see. (black on black) Sorry. :angel

Come on Tom tell us more! i need to know more!

What parts are metal and resin?

Any photos you can take of up inside the mag well?

Re: First images of Hollywood Collectible Group's Aliens Marine PRODUCTION Pulse Rifl

Your ringing endorsement and pics have convinced me to order one!

Re: First images of Hollywood Collectible Group's Aliens Marine PRODUCTION Pulse Rifl

Great review, Tom - thanks! :)

Questions (to you and anyone else who knows):
  1. If it doesn't come with shoulder strap, I consider that an incomplete replica - who here offers a screen-accurate strap?
  2. Will the shotgun chamber a replica grenade? If so, who makes compatible grenades?
  3. Who here can rig an upgrade circuit to make the LED counter cycle down when you pull the trigger and perhaps add an LED in the barrel?

I can answer number 1 for you - forum member Matsuo makes screen accurate slings, they're awesome; I have one on my airsoft Pulse Rifle, it will be migrating to my HCG one when it arrives!

MORE PICTURES!!!!

;)

Looks like a very well put together piece.

Any idea how many man hours they put into each replica? How many folks work on one of these at a time?

You are welcome! :)

It does not come with a shoulder strap. But then again, I do not consider any weapon or replica to be 'incomplete' simply because it does not include a strap, holster, sheath, etc.

I am fairly certain that the shotgun could be modified to chamber a replica grenade. Noticed a thread over here that indicated someone that might be able to help with that:

I'll leave the electronics question up to the electronics gurus. There should already be several within our midst. ;)

Wrong Matt, MNoble makes the slings.

Guns are made in a factory. no idea on man hours it takes to assemble.

It would take extrordinary effort to make the GL chamber a round.
Beyond drilling out the chamber to slip a round in... To make it load and chamber a round requires the type of mechanics present in a real shotgun.

Same deal with the counter you cant really make a static counter count down. The time and effort to do so would outweigh the cost and effort of simply replacing it. You'll have to find an aftermarket counter unit to replace the static one.

The shrouds, stock, Barrel and barrel vent are metal. The GL and Thompson are resin.
