I never did watch the Galactica series. Heard lots of good things about it but never watched it.
What I would like to have is a big Cerberus Normandy model and a big Prometheus model. Having the latter would be amazing. I watched pictures of it and wondered how I could make one but it's just too complex right now.
For anyone interested: my current projects (excluding school) are pepakura based Witch King helmet (nearly finished), Zangetsu from Bleach, District 9 Assault rifle and making a CNC router.

How did you decide on measurements for the details?
Did you hand cut all of them or did you lay them out in a CAD program first?
Also, regarding the side engines, how did you go about altering yours from the pep design?

I did all of the measurements by eye. I sketched a lot of the details directly on the model until they looked right and than took the measurements off that.
I cut all of them with scissors or an xacto knife, nothing fancy here.
I cut holes in the front of the engines with a dremel, than I made paper cones/cups (pep style). I made that center nipple thingy (how's that called anyway?) with some balls I picked up in the art store. I glued a paper collar on the ball and glued that in the cone. The "blades" are just strips of thick dense paper. The panels on the engines are also paper.

Obviously heavy cardstock wont go in a printer??????? Could you tell me how do you print it all off on the cardstock????
Again amazing build. One of the best Serenity models I have seen. That it's made from paper is even more amazing.
