Interest Firefly Mal Pistol Kit - Detail Parts

Would you consider making any without the swing out cylinder made more for display at a lower price?

I'm interested, but only in a metal kit. Incidentally, I know someone with a machine shop. They're in Oregon.
I suppose I could get them to copy the resin parts into metal, if you think that would work. It wouldn't be free of charge though.

I'm thinking the pricing on that would be astronomically high. sounds good. but probably not a lot members could afford such an endeavor....

Yea, I didn't think about that. You're probably right.
If you had a computer model of the parts, it would probably be a few hundred dollars cheaper. Then the design department wouldn't have to reverse engineer anything.

Sounds great In theory. but that would take control and the OPs files out of his possession and whatever Income from the run. You would have to discus that with him.

I'll keep it in mind, but I'm not sure it would affect the cost all that much. It's roughly the same amount of metal and would require 2 additional 3D prints and molds.

I appreciate the offer, but I'll be continuing down the path of casting them myself.

I've had them quoted for CNC, and you're right, it's expensive. I used to have a CNC that could have done it, but I sold it. It still would have been rather expensive. It would probably be cheaper to CNC just one, but if you want multiples vacuum investment casting is the way to go.

I wasn't suggesting CNC. This a full service facility. They can make molds for any material. But you're right, it's not cheap.
sean - Machine shops don't retain rights to what they produce. Once you've paid and the product is delivered, it's all yours. Them using your files to open a shop to produce your product would be illegal.

I don't really have a list at the moment, but I'll get one together when the time comes.

As far as fitting on a Taurus 85, I don't see why not. I'm building mine on a model 94 which as far as I can tell is the same frame, just in 22lr.

One of my stunt pistol knobs broke off, so I'm interested in a metal one. Can't decide between movie vs TV show yet.

If it's metal then I am in all the way , I just got enough resin kits over the years , want to work with metal props now

I realize you've probably not had the time, but have you been able to figure anything out for international shipping? This looks like a fantastic kit!
