FireFly = Aliens & starship Troopers ????

Hi Guy's,

Well I heard a lot of good things about the T.V show Firefly aka serenity.

Well I was in desperate need to watch the movie and T.V series so I went out and bought them ASAP.

When I watched the 1st episode I was awed at what I seen.

When the captain is fighting in the war at the very beginning and he gets on that big turret gun and looks through the view finder and homes in on that spaceship.... did anyone else see the Weyland Yutani corp logo at the very top of the screen ???? Could it be the same Weyalnd Yutani corp from the Alien movies ???

and when I watched the 2nd episode The imperial troops looked uncannily like Starship Troopers ???

Are these right or am I seeing things ???.

Good eye! The Starship trooper/Fire fly relation is easily explainable. Renegade effects group did a lot of props on both projects. Prop shops will often alter old stuff for new projects as it is a major cost cutter!

Not to mention that the ST armor is used in a wide array of series...

I noticed the trooper armor in a couple of episodes when it played on SCiFi. The helmets and chest/back armor were immediately recognizable. But it didn't hurt the storyline any in my eyes.
