Here is sort of a test build...I am trying to get this done for the Guys from FM for the box cover.

A little review...It is BIG! larger then the 1st Viper. Many more parts...I think around 40 or so.

It is well designed and the sculpt is AMAZING!!!!! Great job Moe!!! The casting is PERFECT, Frank I dont know how ya do it!

Building it is easy, you will need to fill and blend areas as on any kit. Also you might need to rescribe some lines after the putty work...I did...you guys might be neater than I:rolleyesand might not need to if you are careful.

I await the decals, not sure what they look like yet or what is on them, when I get them I will shoot some pics.

I am rescribing the entire bird...it does not need it. I am just anal! The last pic of the wing shows scribing in progress, need to clean her up.

any gaps you see are just the parts sitting together, they are NOT glued, just pushed together lightly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

soo here are some pics...sorry for the blurry ones.

Frank, I wish I had better model assembly & painting skills or I'd be all over the FM Mark 7 and Mark 2. If you and Moe ever do a Blackbird, I'll be 1st in line... flat black and a few decals are no problem for me lol ;)

You mean a " larger " scale one like these which I " believe "
are 1/20th scale ?

{ Have to check wiht Frank as i believe they are 1/20th ? :confused}

You do knwo there's a 1/24th scale BLACKBIRD out

yep, the 1/20 to match the FM Viper length/scale to come in around or just over 18 inches. The Howling Wolf is 1/24 and I think comes in right at 16 inches.

Re: The NEW Viper Mark 7 from FM. Pics added Thread #10

Both Vipers MK2 and MK7 are app. 1/22 in scale.
The pilot is based on the X-wing Harrier pilot, and he is too big to be a 1/24 pilot, but too small to be Ma.k. pilot which are 1/20 scale.
When I made the MK2 and was upscaling my blueprints, I couldn't get the correct length of the set Viper and therefore match it to the TOS Viper in scale.
