I think I may have purchased your old helmet on eBay. I've added some extra foam sheet under the front helmet and adjusted the ear pieces, waiting to repaint the shell once I get new vinyl stickers made of my wing and 'A' design.

Talking to Dale about doing a leather piece for my helmet as well with another shell coming in, can't wait to get this all set up! Probably end up selling the other helmet when I get the leather version set up.

You certainly wont be disappointed in Dale's work. He's made several projects for me, as well as working on my Avengers style Cap suit soon... you picked the right fella to get the job done.

Just sent my deposit to Dale to get queued up on his project schedule, only because you vouch for him J/k. I'm looking to get the same helmet leather straps but a bit more work to get it closer to screen accurate. ETD sometime in Q1 to early Q2 before Avengers release, can't wait!

Here is an update on the progress. I have sent the helmet to Fettster and he will start work on the bust as soon as it arrives so he can make sure it fits/looks right.

I was also blessed to have Chris Fields grant my request to try his hand at his first battle damaged shield. I was very happy that he agreed to try this. I think it will make this project even more exciting.

I have also been able to raise the last bit if money needed for my last payment to Fettster, so everything I save from this point on will go to completing the stand.

I hope to get this all done by mid Jan, so I can start my 1:1 Wolverine when my bonus comes in early Feb.

I got a couple early Xmas gifts (lowes gift cards) so tomorrow I will make a run for supplies and start work on the display/stand.

I already have the paper props in hand and the bust and shield are both in progress of being made, so by the looks of things I may have this thing completed around the first of the year.

I will get progress pics on the stand up before the end of the week.

Chris Fields sent me a pic of my shield he finished and shipped today (below)

My stand is coming along, I just need the brick panels and then it will be done. Hopefully this weekend I can get my hands on a truck and get them all here.

On a side note, I added another avenger to the small wall next to CAP. I didn't think it was worth it's own thread but wanted to share it with you all. The paint is still wet in the pics, do forgive the shine.

Wow love the Hulk. Where did you pick that up? Looks kinda like a Tee I airbrushed a way back since I liked the pic so much.

I bought it a while back from a guy on Ebay

it was based on an empire mag cover that from the look of it was based on the pic above.

And yes the gloves and belt were the ones from the EBay Suit... but the boots are not

I got the shield in today. Here are some pics.

In addition I purchased an old WWII wooden ammo crate and bought a large red hydra logo decal to attach to it like a stamp.

I also bought 3 small green metal ammo cans and am having the SSR logo made up to put on them. These and the hydra box will be placed by Cap's feet when the stand is complete.

Dale Morton did the leather portion, he actually has a link to his website earlier in the thread. As for the shell, I don't know who made it, I just bought an unfinished shell on eBay and painted it.

Ok, the stand is built. I finished the concrete portion, hung the brick and have received 3 of the 4 boxes in (no decals yet). Pics to come later tonight.

Unfortunately after seeing it all together I don't think the Avengers and Bucky rescue helmets will fit into the display well, so I will probably end up selling those off.
