Can anyone give me the wingspan of the xwing and the height/width/side lengths of the tie fighter wing please?

If nobody chimes in with the answers before then, I'll take the measurements tonight and let you know.

If it's a fine molds model then it is about 1 inch by 1 inch:lol
Just kidding - I can't stand the small size so I gotta take a shot at them from time to time.

So as to not be a totally wasted post I looked on another site and it had this listed for the tie...
3.5"W x 3.5"L x 4.25"H :thumbsup

OK, here we go:

TIE Fighter:

wingspan - 3.25"
depth (widest point) - 3.5"
depth (bottom of wing) - 2 7/16"
Height - 4 1/8"

X-Wing:

wingspan - 5 7/8"

hope that helps

I don't get it... it is a well established military figure and vehicle and airplane scale, long before SW appeared and the scale is perfect for 1:72 collectors like myself. If you don't like the scale or that they are all to scale, then buy Studio Scale or the "all over the scales" ERTL/AMT stuff. Why waste time on commenting on a scale of ships you don't like?

I do buy other stuff!!!!!!!!!!, thank you for the suggestion.
If you will also FINISH reading my original post you will see I answerd the question posted, that is why I posted a reply (unlike your post, which I will point out, is unrelated to the topic).
Switch to decaf:wacko
I has having fun and did not mean to insult or offend anyone with size issues. Tiny models have there place in the world. I guess I should pay attention to people screen names - maybe there lies some truth.
For the record although they are WAY TOO SMALL, fine models makes a very detail product, very nice.

BACK ON TOPIC - I am anxious to see what was the bases for the question SAS, you have got me wondering.:)

My screen name has nothing to do with wondering why it appears to be such a trend here on the RPF in every single FineMolds topic to mention how small they are. Of course they are small. I could understand the mention if they were too small for 1:72 scale, but since it is not it can only be seen as pointless stabs, imo. If you don't like the scale, why comment on it?

Yes, my post, unlike yours was OFF TOPIC to this topic and I do apologize to the topic starter, Sidewinder, and you for jumping on you like I did and not being on topic. I was just getting tired of the constant - "don't want them 'cause they're too small" - comments that, as I said, are appearing in all FM topics. Sorry I vented on you and in Sidewinder's topic.

Though... to get SOME ON TOPIC into this post: I DO look forward to hearing what these measurements are for.
