This model has been a real time bandit , but it has given me something to occupy my mind over the last Month or so. I got bored with planes and i was considering giving up modelling , but then this showed up at a price i could not refuse!

I have gone all out on this model. I cut the fron mandibles free and toed them in a bit , also moving them in a bit to shorten them. This was also done with the upper and lower jawboxes. The model is lit with LEDs and Fibre optics. Its powered but a 9v battery fitted inside the bottom turret. The landing gear was modified and the boarding ramp is moveable. I added lots of detail to the cockpit before fitting the figures. The landing gear , and bottom turret cover are all fitted with magnets. This allows me to easily access the battery and change the landing gear to flight mode. Finally a bigger more accurate 3d printed radar dish was fited.

The engine lights , spotlights , and cockpit/boarding ramp lights are on 3 seperate switches that are hidden behind the port docking ring.

Thanks. I wanted to have things on different switches. I have just installed the Shapeways upper turret and the new baffle parts that fit on the landing gear. They look really cool.
