after sanding and damage scraping , covered the putty in black gloss spray paint , followed by light randomized dusting of silver metal flake spray paint .... then took silver model paint slopped it on and with balled up toilet paper rubbed it in , in a circular motion ..... after that , took flat black model paint and a real crappy paint brush and roughed the black into the dents in tiny dabs

^ Very cool damage painting. Did you use a dry brush technique at all? One of my friends has used this to great effect, but I haven't yet tried it myself.

Yeah it's like, every time I come on (which is a lot, lately), you've posted something new!
I used to paint me models with Testor's, then they started passing out so I had to stop.

LOL ! well i gave myself a deadline ....april .... and the work keeps piling up , i promised another friend who is very deserving i would sculpt him a krosis mask so that is another mess of hours!!!!, even if you go back through the pages i would work on things in large masses then upload it as a huge crazy mess of items , tonight i also finished sculpting the quick steel over the helm ... next step is sanding and painting it .....after that i have to build my skirt , figure out how it will piece together to be a functional piece of clothing along with cool looking OH i still have to make my pauldron .... i have to help steve stitch together an entire mage robe because he absolutely hates me lol ... then i have to build my bracers :< still have a ton of work before april is here ... i was thinking of ordering werewolf looking contacts , although my eyes are weird as it is , it is cool when they look a bit weirder ... i usually order off of "youknowit.com" they have a huge selection of comfortable , cheap , decent looking contacts with a year long life span

because i want to look 100% ignorant when i spend my weekend at pax east playing videogames then getting ...wasted... and after pax i just plan on being a dragon born .... going fishing ...grocery shopping .... playing skyrim ... in my armor... wut.

actually megacon was the first i've been to. i'd *love* to hit up D*C this year but i'm thinking it probably won't happen. le sigh.

oh well. you continue working, and i'll continue watching and hoping my project goes half as well.

that's some gorgeous paintwork on that horny mask/helmet (sorry, i'm the only person in England who hasn't played Skyrim so i have no idea what all the particulars are - didn't know about whole "arrow in the knee" thing till about a week ago, lol). i used to use the black undercoat trick on some of my models (Predator armour) but it was acrylic not-really-gloss ~ i'm surprised the proper gloss gave such a good effect.
really miss modelling, i've got about 40 models up in the loft including a full size Gremlin, but i've got no room for them :-(

i think the gloss was the only way to go here. acrylic paints so much easier, but it's so much easier to pull off a metal look with enamel, i think.
