Female Judge Costume - Comic

Good Afternoon Citizens,

I'm starting my first-ever costume build and I've decided on a Mega City One Judge comic-style, because obviously it's the most awesome costume out there. So since I'm such a noob, I thought I'd document the process and open it up for constructive criticism and advice since I've seen some amazing things on this site. So here goes...

First-things-first, I have a 3 day weekend so perfect time to start with a helmet. I've got print-outs from a Pepakura file and I think I'm going to make a paper-mache version at the same time. I chose these because they are low cost and if it doesn't work the first time I'm only out time, paper, and glue.

Like I said before, I'd love to hear from anyone who's been here before so I don't waste time.

Update:

So cutting, folding, and gluing is happening steadily. I took a break from burning my finger with the glue gun to shop. I found some decent things. Now I have a problem. My color scheme. I know that the Judge uniform is technically black. At least the helmet is in the classic dredd. But I like the blue color that you see in some of the comics. So I'm leaning that way.

The gloves were a pain because it's harder than you'd think to find long gloves that won't require much modification and will actually fit. So I got short ones that look the closest and fit me and I'll only have to modify them to make them long. I'll figure out how to do that later.

Back to the color issue... I'm going to buy everything in olive green. I think that color might work or I'll figure a way to paint it a brighter green. It's not like there's a big demand for bright green tactical gear so I don't really have a choice.

Black and olive green will look nice together. If you're going with blue then it'll probably look better with bright green.
