Favorite TK armor?

This has probably been asked before, but the more I look at my FX suit the more I'm beginning to think how funky it looks. Sure, it's a great sculpt and I know it's not screen accurate, but the armor seems a bit TOO stylized.

I've always been a big ANH fan, but also like some of the sleek features of the ROTJ armor. Still though, if I had to choose between the two styles, the ANH wins out due to sentimental reasons. :love

So the question is, what's your favorite TK armor?

P.S. Moderators, please move this to the Off Topic area if it isn't appropriate here. :angel

I'm really fond of my AP armor. I replaced my FX with it. Looks nice. Here's a pic on my mannequin (still a WIP):

If i ever buy another kit it will be a TM easily the best looking fan sculpt ever, Really has that ANH look down level of details amazing.

Close to accurate (close as you can get so far):
TE & TE2 (same molds). I think GF falls in this area as well armor-wise helmet not sure?

Idealized (trooping, close enough):
AP

Fan Sculpt (beauty):

I thought my FX was perfect when I got it. It looked like a trooper and I was happy with it. Now after having been educated somewhat on troopers and armor, I hate it. It looks like a trooper but not what I remember from ANH. The trooper standee is what I like to see.

I'm not crazy about the black frown on the ESB helmet. I guess because ANH was the first armor I was crazy about, I will always like that version.

I hate the ROTJ armor with it's edging all around. I also don't like the squished look of the helmet.

As far as fan suits, I think they all look good. The TM is good but because it doesn't have the lineage of the AP or TE, I can't see myself getting one. But that's just me. I'm not bashing TM's work. He did an incredible job on it. In fact if I had the money and room I'd have one of his suits as well.

The only thing I don't like about the TE suit is the strips that he covers the leg seams with. To me they are too wide. His look about 1" and to me they look like they should be 3/4". I know they can be trimmed but all of his suits that he put together have the wide ones.

I think you are asking about favorite movie armors. If so ignore my part about the fan armor. :lol

That's what I should have wrote. Simple and to the point. :lol

My fav is TE, as its the most accurate.
But i also like the AP for accuracy and durability for troopin.
I've had most of the different kits out there.
I even had 3 sets of the Moviefx armor, it was really nice but it wasn't easy to get. I happen to get lucky.
But like most i started with the bobbleheaded FX. Its a nice suit to but its made for the taller gents. The helmet looks okay on someone about 5'10 to 6'1". Being 5'8" it just looked funny.

Yep, that was mainly my question... we all know what replica armors are out there... so if you had to make a choice, which screen used TK armor would you own? ;)

GF is an "authorized" recast/tweak of the TE suit...

AP

Made from GF's molds, essentially the same thing...

I will agree a very nice and the most accurate fan sculpt to date...

I personally want to get a TE for display and a AP for trooping...

And never underestimate the FX suits for larger guys, they are simply the best choice for larger body builds regardless of the "bobble head" look when next to a more authentic suit...

Okay, I'll play along :rolleyes ... what about the RT-Mod armor? Aren't his suits SPECIFICALLY designed for the larger guys AND much more screen accurate?

Slightly larger then a movie suit but not as large as the FX armor, and yes they are tailored to look more movie accurate...

Ive had a TE and a TE2 (until it got stolen! :angry) They are both incredible suits and my personal favourites, I really hope to get another one day, I also have to take my hat off to TM as his work is simply incredible for fan sculpted :thumbsup

ANH.

When I was a kid I hated the fact they changed the grey frown to black for ESB (you couldnt see individual teeth on a crappy TV), and even worse painted "lips" on the ROTJ. :sick

But in my older years having seen so many accurate replicas in person I like them all for what they are. The black teeth on an ESB looks very cool in person, very menacing. :cool

As far as fan sculpt, Pauls work is in a class of its own. ANH all the way! :thumbsup IMHO.
