Favorite Movie/TV Car?

Anybody remember this...

and no that's not me in the car nor do I have any idea who that is.

Hardcastle and McCormack?

Most of my favourites have already been mentioned/pictured.

Here's a couple that haven't:

YESSSSS.

I have little to add to this discussion of magnificent cars, oh except this, as there haven't been enough pictures of Ecto yet...

...Possibly because there are very few glamour shots of her out there. People go to jail for robbery but this is acceptable?

My top three: Ecto 1, KITT, and the 60's Batmobile. KITT would probably have to win as ultimate movie/TV car, as the whole point of him was to have a show where the car did all the talking and the actor could just stand around and look good.

They were half successful. Zing!

I've got that in 1:25 scale. And I love this movie. It is a true car chase movie.

Picture didn't carry through with your quote. Which car?

About 25% of my 1:18 colection is duplicated in 1:25, with the (former) goal of it being 100%.

Oh and Christine:

For those who haven't read the book, King had actually written Christine to be a four door Plymouth Fury. Though a four door Plymouth Fury doesn't exist, King based the car off of an actual four door Plymouth that he used to drive in his youth (for the hardback copy of the novel, he is pictured with it).

And for those who are unfamiliar with the trivia for the film, the cars used for Christine are, in fact, NOT Plymouth Furys. A majority of them were, in fact, Plymouth Belvederes, the sister car to the Fury. Both were so alike in design, some even considered the Fury to be a "slimmed down" version of the Belvedere.

The 1970 Dodge Challenger from "Vanishing Point", one of the films that influenced the creation of one of my characters in my "Reality 423" storyset. That's the car I've got at 1:25 scale. The model isn't fully accurate to the actual film, but it's still a great model to have nonetheless. :)

One of these was parked in front of a military surplus store in Huntington Beach (California) for several years (the vehicle and the shop are no longer there). I stopped in one day to do a little shopping, and the owner told me "military officials" were actually considering an armored version of this vehicle for practical combat purposes.

I thought of two more favorites:

What the heck is the story behind this pic? :confused

The car was used in (barely) "Bread and Circuses." Shatner never appears with the actual car in the episode.

At lunch, the owner thought it'd be cool to have the Shat pose with the car. They went across the street to the cemetery to do the shoot. SAG rules prevented them from shooting on the Paramount/Desilu lot.

I have two rather odd faves.. First, the truck from Damnation Alley:

..which I loved as a kid.

Second, the truck from 'Spacehunter - Adventures in the Forbidden Zone':

I love Jim Burns's artwork and he's painted some great futuristic cars. This is the closest I've seen anyone get to building a real world example in his style.

I have always wanted to own an old firehouse. There would be living areas upstairs and I could slide down the pole to my shop and these beauties...
