It was crap the first time around. Not fathom events, but 20th Anniversary, Star Wars Episode III. April 25th running for a week
My high school buddy and I went to a screening of Time Bandits with Burger King burgers in our jacket pockets. It was less about saving money (concessions were pretty cheap back then) than about seeing if we could get away with it. Yup, at least mine was. That's what I've always ordered, except back when they were selling the chicken parmesan sandwich. The only important question: Were they Bacon Double Cheeseburgers?
Those were the best, back in the 80s.
Like I've said before, I make it a policy to only go to sparsely filled/empty screenings. Thanks to reserved seating, I can scout how busy the showings are. Fathom crowds are usually more respectful since it's mostly an older crowd that genuinely appreciates the movie being shown so I don't mind if those are a little busier (but I still won't go if it's packed).
