LOL. ya its "work in progress". If anyone else thinks they have better ideas please share, my girlfriend and i want to make one and have it be quasi-functional. we thought maybe a skype app with a small laptop cam some where. Im not sure yet still gathering ideas and such.

I thought you might enjoy some pictures on my Farnsworth that I finished today. Well .. almost finished. I forgot to paint the middle knob. Will do that tomorrow

The small glimpse we got of the doctor's Farnsworth (that's 5 we've seen now) shows it seems to have a dark screen plus it has a round emblem with a Caduseus on it inside the lid..
It also had a somewhat more raspy sounding call tone.

Oh I agree. It looks pretty much the same as the other units. It could be one of the units used with the direction finder option. It definitely looks like the screen is black rather than grey. It was a nice touch to put the medical logo on it. Probably just an easily removable sticker (would they waste CGI on that?).

Nice cap. Although... doesn't that look like the cover with the small dent that's been seen previously?

I was at Orchard Supply Hardware earlier and spotted a few items than some may want to look into for screen lenses.
It's the packaging I was looking at in all 3 cases.
Leviton Energy Star CFL Closet Light 3.25"
Westinghouse Ceiling Canopy Kit 4"
Amedelle mini Moon Light 3"
This last one is kind of high curve but the actual light face may work if you paint the outside since it's white, there was also a semi clear one with a circle pattern.

Here are the pics of the Winnie the Pooh kids night light that found. I removed the lens and stencil.
This is how it compares with the vacuum formed screen (on the right).
It's a few millimeters bigger in diameter. In fact the vacuum formed one just fits inside it. Also it has a somewhat higher dome shape.

Anyone notice a continuity problem in this last episode? When Pete/Myka is talking to Leena at the Warehouse, the initial shot of Pete is on a standard Farnsworth on the stand on Artie's desk. The next shot with Leena in frame shows her talking to Claudia's Farnsworth on the stand, then the next shot is the standard Farnsworth on the stand again. I'd supply images but Photobucket is down for maintenance.

This is the part of a frame when Leena was in the scene. You can see the higher side sockets, the tubing between the lid and faceplate and the large dial knob plus the antennas at the top. In fact it doesn't even fit in the stand properly and is sitting forward fromn the back.
