Fantastic Four Movie Costume

I thought I'd have ago at putting one together. I've not costumed from scratch before but you gotta start somewhere right?

I'm looking at the recent movie versions, and wondered what you experienced and helpful costumers thought about the right fabric. I've studied the stills and I'm not sure what the fabric is.

Any suggestions?
