Work with padding: i cut the template from the cardboard then made the foam parts. Glued it and fix with pieces of masking tape.

Made the scratching marks on the left side of helmet. Added silver paint (chrome and gun metal) in edges and ochre and sand brown around scratches.

This is coming together so beautifully! I'm just curious what you are going to do for the lenses. Are you going for the generic VHT nite-shades tint or are you going to tint it some other way?

I'm planning to compare warm coloration of acrylic glass (red ink in alcohol) with sunglass film on transparent acrylic glass. First variant looks more comfortable in room or twilight, but the second looks a bit better.

That's gunglass film test:

This is awesome! I was thinking of making one myself but i see you were making molds for the helmet, Do you have to do that when making it? Because I am a huge NOOB and this is going to be one of my first project.

You don't have to use mold, download he pep files, print them on 200g paper or as I did on 250, cut it, glue it, resin it, fiberglass it, and finish details

Thank you. Try to search tutorials by the «pepakura» keyword. Many of them you can find here on therpf.com

Just fantastic work! I am currently working on this project but with different files i got a while ago, and I believe i will finish my current one because it is my first and I can learn with it, then I will use your files to make a better one. Thank you for this thread, all the details and especially the files. Again great work!

This is absolutely incredible work. Also one of the best pepakura files i've downloaded yet. NeXXt... is your creation wearable? So impressive

To m35ka: Thank you! It was my first PDO (seriously). Did it before the game came out. There's one serious difference between official game model and my 3D model — the block on helmet beside the lamp and camera. And i remade filter and antenna (from ePVC) in work process, not as i did in PDO. And i cut my model to very small parts in Pepakura.

Yes it's wearable helmet, i planned it from the beginning (foam padding, 2-parts construction etc.).

Hey NeXXt, I had a go over the weekend making the pep. Its turned out ok but the mask isn't quite symmetrical so may redo it. Really great files though so thank you for sharing them.

I've also made a simple voice modifier that I am going to mount inside the filter to make it sound cool.

You must have done something wrong because the mask is pretty symetrical...
