Also, I forgot to mention this in the update: For the remaining orders, the football portion of the nuke will be cast in Smooth Cast 325. I have run out of ONYX and have plenty of 325 on hand, so that's what I'll be using. This should be no concern for anybody, but I wanted to let everyone know just the same. I can primer the parts black before shipping if you like. My four personal nukes were cast in 325 as well.

The fins and stabilizer rings are still ONYX though. I use the slow setting formula for those, and pressure cast them. Still plenty of ONYX slow left for those.

This was a really easy kit to put together. I really like it. That's why I'm getting a 2nd one. I'm going to take those screws out and countersink them, though.

Alright, this run is officially FULL. I am no longer taking new orders.

I'll keep this thread open until the last kit has shipped, so those who have a current order will be able to check the first post to see the status of their order.

Some work in progress pics. I still have some weathering I want to add onto it but it's pretty much finished.

This is a great kit. Struggled a little with the fins and the inner ring but it looks Amazing.

Yeah, those fins and inner ring are quite a pain in the butt. I wish my design would have turned out better in regards to fitting, but it certainly looks like you tamed the beast there!

I was worried the green might turn out a bit dark, but it looks nice in the sunlight. I just need now to add some rust stains around the rings and the bolts and general dirt and grim just to make it look 200 years old.

Having gone over the game renders numerous times, I've found it is definitely a darker green than the FO3 nuke. I'm going with forest green for mine. I think the green you went with looks perfect. Looks like "in game" colors to me. :thumbsup

Sweet! That's good enough for me. It's 2 different greens thinly airbrushed, It looks almost black if it's in shadow, but I'm definitely happy with it. Glad I found your version rather than going for the cut away 3D print that's available, which looks great, but I loved the on screen accuracy and size of your version. Can't wait to see some other peoples paint jobs.
