fallout 3

Mine seems to still be working. Of course, aside from what you see in the photos, I haven't really worn it or anything; it's just been sitting in its stand. Even if you took out the works and replaced them, it's too kitchy -- a better bet would be to make one you're actually supposed to wear.

Time for some research!

I have bought the Collectors Edition, but i have not got it in the mail yet.
But when i do i am going to take screen caps of the pipboy and try making my own. I got a little vacuum table that will help me a bit.

Banned in Australia?...the people that gave us Road Warrior? Ironic.

The US version of Return to Castle Wolfenstein' is banned in Germany for obvious Nazi references. They changed the game and made the nazis a cult or something like that with no swastikas and less blood.

Half-life was edited so you don't fight soldiers you fight Robots?????
and the blood is Oil and the guts are bolts and springs.

What do you plan on using for the screen/guts? Currently, I'm favoring the idea of some sort of monochrome Palm. They used green monochrome screens for the early ones, and there should be someone online with Palm OS experience who can make an interface.

Im not that good with electronics, so i guess its going to be something with LED.

Germany is a little weird in their laws. I know they're strict with their violence b/c of the safety concerns and to try and remove the violent mindset from the citizens. But then you don't have a speed limit on the roads? I think you can do more damage on the road than watching/playing violent games/movies at home

We in the Netherlands are a strange bunch as well. We have sex on TV, uncersored movies and games, and soft-drugs are basicly legal. But.......we in return have the strictest gunlaws in Europe.

I heaved play Fallout 3, because my pc is a little old, and it will not run it. :unsure...

I saw that an editor has been released, called G.E.C.K.
So anyone who knows about those stuff, will be able to extract the textures of weapons and make blueprints !!!

I am volunteering to turn the textures into blueprints.

I remember that the European version of Fallout 2 came without children. Actually there was an ingame joke referring to that!

I can't understand why the Germans banned Castle Wolfenstein. You were killing nazis in this game, and is obviously an anti-nazi game...
But the same time, they give permission for Hitler's Swastika flags, to be on many streets, for the shooting of the movie "Operation Valkyrie" i think...

All those sounds strange?
Well in Greece, there was a law before 4 - 5 years, that made the possession, installation and running of any electronic game, illegal.
So the police officers where guilty for having minesweeper on there department's pc's along with the prime minister, who heaved for sure windows with pre-installed games on his pc!

!

You can extract the models and texture (I have:)) and then use Pepakura and make the armor and weapons /items for real.

Look at http://405th.com/forums/index.php?act=idx
Some people there have made Fallout helmets and armor.
The Halo armor is made the same way.

Not to go off topic, but I watched a show about German resistance to the Nazis and they said that Germans are just now taking pride in people and soldiers who resisted or sabotaged the war effort. Before the 80s or sometime around then, those same people were still looked at like traitors, according to Germans interviewed.

Well, the matter is going to get political sooner or later and we are far off-topic, so lets stop it here...

All those years on Earth, i understand one thing. People are crazy...

Back on Fallout now.

This game, sure has many interesting props to do, and some of them are very easy, like the Nuka-Cola bottles.

So, has anyone made templates for any, or i will have to made them myself?
I need to learn how to use the Photoshop and Pepakura programs, so it will be a good start!

+1 to that :)

I've had good luck importing things into 3d modelling programs (like 3ds Max), then exporting pictures of the top/left/front/etc. images to be printed full scale for measurements.
