There are two versions of barrel insulators; one with a short base and another with a long forked base. I made two part molds of each one and cast them in Smooth-Ons Featherlite resin to keep the weight down. I didn't make a jacket mold for the first mold and ended up with a leaky mold with a lot of flashing in the casting. I'm going to make a jacket mold for it whenever I get my work shop back.

Holy **** this is crazy awesome! Massive respect for the time, effort and skills put into this project! Looking forward to the rest!
 
don't wish to sound like a know it all and the thing looks awesome but it looks like you need to mix your bondo more it should be consistent colour but if its just where you've mixed squadron along the way just ignore me i was just worried that after all this work you'd end soft spots, beautiful work though.
