FAKE RUSSIAN JETS -COLD WAR ERA

I wasn't sure where to post this kind of thing, but this seemed like the best place since these jets are 'science fiction' in its purest form.
1. The Lindberg 1/48 'MIG 19' from 1955. I'm going 'all out' on this one to make it look as real as possible.
2. The Aurora 1/48 'MIG 19' also from 1955.
Both jets were derived from U.S. 'boys magazines' that interpreted vague data collected in the early 1950's. I believe the Lindberg model is closest to the Lavochkin La-200 (Korshun radar).
Here is the data:

I've started on the Lindberg model. The interior actually had a pilot and seat, but nothing more.
The interior cockpit is a hybrid of 3 kits, some scratch building and I added engines to cover the vacant holes....and a steel nose weight.
Then I cut out the completely covered wheel wells and added a bunch of scratch built detail stuff in the holes.

Here's the Aurora 'Mig 19' kit assembled exactly per the instructions. Hard to belive this kit is 68 years old.
The model has not been painted other than where directed in the instructions! I love the look of the raw metallic emerald green. The fit of all the parts is superb, so i just polished all the joints with Novus #2 and #1. Decals were shot so i used aftermarket Russian stars.
The canopy looked naked, so i used Humbrol emerald green and hand-painted the fame -- looks like it matches pretty well !

Almost done with the Lindberg 'Mig 19'. It will be finished (obviously) to a much higher standard. I want to make it look like it actually existed.

Here's the completed model. I used decals from Tamiya's Mig 15 kit.
The airfield tow tractor that came with the kit is U.S. made. Funny it came with the Russian jet!!!
