I used Velcro to attach the bottom part of the jerkin to easily put on and take off. The seam will be covered by the cumberbund.

I was able to get the leather cumberbund sewed down to the harder pleather backing. I'm going to have to get some red velcro to connect the back. The white velcro I had was way too visible for my liking.

I'm aiming to have everything but the gauntlets (I have zero sculpting experience and am not about to have something that major looking mediocre) done by Dragon Con.

Thanks! Big update on Page 1, the suit is nearly complete save for some details like bags, pants and the flowers. Also, I went to Dragon Con and got to meet Fev who made my pauldron and belt buckle as well as Ammnra who made my hidden blades (not pictured as I don't have the gauntlets made yet).

Very nice work so far! I, too, considered using leather for my second build, but I decided it would a) be too expensive, and b) I wanted to work with cloth too, since it's kind of ambiguous what material he uses. In some references it's leather, in other's it's cloth.

Very nice work so far! I, too, considered using leather for my second build, but I decided it would a) be too expensive, and b) I wanted to work with cloth too, since it's kind of ambiguous what material he uses. In some references it's leather, in other's it's cloth.

Leather is also much hotter and less flexible. I couldn't wear it for more than two hours before absolutely needing to get out of it. I tried to match the artwork and game model versions with my suit. The reveal trailer cloth outfit looks a lot cooler and more flexible, so yeah. I would definitely recommend going with that version after all is said and done. I went with leather because I was obsessed with getting that specific version, lol.

Thanks! Just wait until you see it with gauntlets and Ammra's hidden blades. I'm also planning to put carbon steel wires at the top of the hood so it can hold it's shape. If I can get it all to hold right, it will look identical to the game model.
