Nice work so far. Looks like a clean kit. I was curious as to why Randy chose to make portals in the rear when on the real model they are reflectors...

Here are a few more pics of my finished and weathered model. I finally finished the upper lights. I printed the photo of Lori Swenson and I am working on the "UFO SCARE" newspaper...

Wow.....wow....wow......and did I say wow? That is the most awesome model I've seen.....ever :D loved this film when I was a kid, excellent work on this model......I want one :D:thumbsup

thank you. It's one of my favorite props and my fist model in my prop room. Love this movie.

Yeah, I noticed that after I put mine on. I will repaint them soon.
 
I was addicted to that movie as a kid because it had that 'if they can do that, so can I' feeling that inspired me to build many a project. Plus with the Space Shuttle such a big deal in the 80s it seemed like the only way a kid could get into outer space back then.

I was also addicted to the movie 'SpaceCamp' for the same reasons.
 
No it does, I was just curious how far you took it. So if it's a shooting model gonna put the image of Wolfgang in the tv window?
