Exclusive: Golden Gun

Just put it together, Number 345 of 520.

I'm pleased with it although it is not something I am going to play with alot.

Finally happy to have this prop which I wanted the day I came out of the movie theatre!

Yes The packaging, case and paperwork are top-notch!

I don't believe anyones mentioned what a nice job the whole package is, not only the GG but display case, packaging and paper work are all great.

Looking forward to more Bond props from FE.

Folks do the same with Star Wars props. Alot of Movie props are cheaply made because it could be dropped during production. Replicas are better made. The Golden Gun looks great.

You know what I find amusing about all the griping I see about one replica or another?.......if they made the replica EXACTLY like the one in the movie someone would still complain it doesn't look right, it looks cheap, cheaply made or some other complaint. Honestly if you've ever seen most real screen props up-close most of the time they usually aren't as nice or made as well as the replicas are because they are made only to look good on-screen for the few seconds they are seen on the film that they are being used for and that's all. I know there's some really blatant inaccurate replicas but I don't feel this is one of them. it doesn't feel right in your hand?...are you planning on carrying it around to use it? Its a display piece ....to LOOK AT....who cares what it feels like!

I am not a replica prop guy myself (I collect vintage original props), but think this is a great replica of something I could never own the original of (because it will never become available, and if if did, ummm...SIX FIGURES).

I have talked at length with Barry, the owner of Factory E,a couple of times, and he is a good guy. I tip my hat to him for even attempting this project. Not just the replica itself, but getting Roger Moore and Christopher Lee to sign the plaques of the SE edition sends it over the top. It looks great.

Barry had mentioned that he has held one of the original prop guns in his hand, and that it was actually somewhat disappointing- "cheap", and made of wood and other odd materials, and very delicate. His goal here was to make an accurate replica that LOOKS like what you would THINK the prop Golden Gun would look like in person (a screen accurate, gold-plated metal gun), and I think he pulled it off beautifully here.

I think it is an excellent piece!

The gun arrived four days ago and everything seemed fine until i had to put it together. It all went together fine until it came to the cufflink.
I tried every possible method and stopped tying to screw it in after about an hour. Have tried a few times more since but i cant even get a start on one thread.
Here are some pics of the affected areas, i cant see anything wrong, does anyone see a fault?

I have sent two emails to Factory Entertainment and have not recieved a reply. This would be frustrating on its own but i specifically requested that
my order was checked before shipping as its a four week turnaround if anything needs to be replaced, well i guess that never happened and
now something needs to be replaced.

Let me tell you, when i see the gun sitting in its frame without the cufflink/trigger it looks cheap and tacky and when a fault is reported and
no responce comes after four days, the company looks cheap and tacky.

Mine was a pain too. First carefully thread the cuff into the lighter without the cig case. Be every carefull not to cross thread. Screw it in a little then back out then some more and back out until it "cleans" the threads a little. You really have to go easy on it. Also I notice when i assemble mine i have to pull the cig case back pretty good to get the holes to line up. Then again carefully start the cuff link and thread it in. I'm afraid to screw mine in too deep but it has loosened up a bit and screws in and out pretty good. Hope this helps.

Thanks ZK,
Ive tried that method a few times already but it does nothing for me. When you look at the FE produced "how to assemble video" that cufflink goes in as easy as anything, thats what i paid for and thats what i want.

Sorry to hear about your problem Mr Webber I too had the same problem and did what Zombiekiller said to do and it finally worked.

Keeping my fingers crossed for ya!

i guess your problem is worse than mine.my gun came with a slanted barrel sight... when i screw in the pen the result leaves me with a crooked sight to the left, way to the left.and the first time i tightened the cuff link to my gun properly it made it loose the next time i put it in..aside from the assembly malfunctions this gun is beautiful to the eyes.:thumbsdown/:thumbsup D Got His Crokked Ass Golden Gun...

Too bad there have been some issues this looks like a fantastic piece but now I'm not so sure I should invest in one.

Got an email back from FE saying that replacement parts are on the way so my attitude and vista of the gun have lifted accordingly.

Dont hold back if you want one cordaroyfog, the system works.

It is so strange to me that there are any left. I remember with Master Replicas it was difficult to get anything after the presale.

I just got my LE Golden gun yesterday. The finish on one side of the cigarette case is flawed pretty bad and my acrylic dust lid is warped on one side. :cry

I hope FE will help me out. I love the gun and it is a prop I have been wanting for many years.

What would you all do?

E-mail that you would like a replacement.

I have also been waiting several weeks for a replacement for my broken cigarett case. So far nothing and no updates from FE.

Well I sent an email to Tom and I included some pics. Now to sit and wait patiently.
