Excelsior scratchbuild 1/350

Got a little done on my lunch break and after work. I haven't said it enough! This bio foam is awesome stuff. So fast. This is a little over an hour of work!

Made a little jig to go around the saucer circle.

Just slowly scraped the foam down until it was uniform

After going over it with the jig I sanded it slightly lower and rounded the corners. That way the cloth goes over it easier and I try to account for the fiberglass thickness.

Got a couple layers of thin cloth on it before going home. See ya tommorrow!

Little update. Been working in this at the same time as the big d!

Marked all the panel lines and taped off with some jammy dog fine line tape.

She's looking lovely. Very neat how you do the paneling on this and your D. Before I saw your models, I had always wondered how that was done. Very nice kit to tackle, I've always loved the design of the Excelsior.
