Hi everyone! This is my first post on RPF! I was told about this site by a friend and am looking for some help! I am trying to make a replica of Ash's chainsaw from Evil Dead and I need some help. I have made many cosplays before, even an Ash one. But that was merely a toy one that I painted. I am looking to make a totally "legit" Ash cosplay for an upcoming convention in July (Florida Supercon in case anyone is wondering

I have never built anything before and would like to get a Homelite XL and strip down, etc etc but I realize that may be too much for a beginner. I have however seen some REALLY good looking ones that use a juice or detergent bottle. Basically I was hoping someone could direct me to a tutorial on how to make one of these "bottle saws". and I mean a STEP BY STEP tutorial seeing as I'm a COMPLETE noob at this (>___<). I see a lot of threads here with pictures and the like but nothing on how to actually make one. Maybe there is and I'm just completely missing it :/
Anyway any and all help is appreciated! Thank you in advance! Feel free to PM me if anyone has adive/tips/links whatever if it's too much for a post reply.
