Traditionally I've always said that Halloween costumes are supposed to be scary, but this year I broke with tradition and decided to go low-budget, low-tech.

"Modern Caveman" vinyl mask - $15.95
Billy Bob "Full Grill" teeth - $3.99
"Power to the Cavemen" tee shirt - $14.99
Borrowed obnoxious Hawaiian shirt - $0.00

Wearing a comfortable costume for six hours straight and having a great time - Priceless!

Then when I was done being serious...(aaaah?)

I went as my own Highlander character, Ian Mac Pharlane, while I took my little brother trick-or-treating. I'll get some pics up soon, but it is rather Connor-esque in design (as in I based it after his wardrobe from the beginning of H1). I did get recognized by some of the adults in the neighborhood and some either mistook me for a ninja (i dunno why....) or thought my costume looked cool and asked who I was. Let's just say it was the Unwanted Babe Magnet of the night :unsure... got a little creepy when you got anywhere from 3-8 girls between the ages of 13 and 16 following you around for no reason, not even stopping at houses to trick-or-treat.... all dressed in rather "suggestive" costumes like Vampire S--t and Daisy Dukes.... but that might be just me I dunno. I just don't like the thought of other women in my life other than the one I love with all my heart, which kinda made it harder for me since I pissed her off accidentally and she ain't talking to me anymore :( . Please keep me and her in your prayers... I'd really appreciate it.

Anyways.... I got a little side-tracked there for a bit. I apologize. But I hope you all had a great Halloween :D . Mine was the best I had in years (about 10 I believe) and the neighborhood was PACKED with happy, fun-loving children, which is an improvement over the gang-dominated neighborhood I used to live in where Halloween was a time of dread and not fun.

Now.... time for Christmas! :D

My friend and I were Spartans, he was a pre-eye-poked Dilios, and I was Leonidas. As you can see, we integrated new recruits into our phalanx.

Cool costumes!
I made some new costumes for my kids this year. Oola, Jawas and Luke Skywalker. I went as Fett for a change :)

I didn't dress up, and my 13 year old son is too old (in my opinion) for costumes, but my 8 year old daughter went trick-or-treating halloween night.

She wanted to be Mara Jade, so I made up a costume for her that she wore to the Dallas Comic-Con a few weeks ago and then again for halloween.

Being a cute 8 year old is 'da bomb. In an hour in a half, she got this much candy, I had to start carrying her bag because it was too heavy:

Not having dressed up for Halloween in some time I decided to go all out at this years office costume party. Here are a few pics of Chad Vader at work.

I don't get it. You think your 13 year old son is too old to dress up though you yourself dress up at conventions? :confused

You know, my wife said the same thing to me.

He is older, and had a lot of halloweens under his belt before his sister came along.

I have a bad habbit of not buying costumes at the store, because they are mostly junk. I usually end up spending like $100 or more making a costume for him every year, plus he went to the San Diego Comic-Con in 2005 with 2 costumes (Army soldier and Luke Skywalker) and SDCC again this year with a Ghost Rider costume.

With all the time and money in his sisters costume, and another lightsaber project I'm trying to find time to finish, I just didn't have it in me to put anything together for him.

He walked his sister sround with me, walked her up the the doors, and came home with jacket pockets full of candy.
