I have been tempted to do this build for years now but always put it off thinking it may be to tricky.
But with a new partner in my life I have been given a new confidence and decided to go for it.
I started the same way I started my foam BB8 build. Paper Mache around a few different sized balls to get an underbase for gluing the foam on to. Then made and cut my own templates, I found an old build on the forum with some measurements of the inner ball and the head. So I went from there with only my vintage V.I.N.Cent toy and screen caps to measure from. For the guns I used clear pieces from plastic taps. The monitor Screen was a mixing bowl I cut up, I printed the black and white grid pattern on paper and then using spray glue I mounted it to the inside of the bowl. There is still a lot to do, and a few things to fix. So far this build has cost me around $70 (Foam and glue sticks and an exercise bakk and a couple of different size beachballs.. So far so good.
