Limited Run Eomer's Sword GUTHWINE replica: carbon steel, brass and leather MAGNOLI

I assume the blade is just plain carbon steel, rather than heat treated/tempered?

As I understand it, these are indeed tempered. I doubt they are tempered to the quality of high-end battle-ready swords, but they aren't like those Spanish wall-hangers that you see all over the place either.

Hi Magnoli! May I be the 60th raider for this project???. I am dying to own this sword!!! :love

The demand for this beauty is growing nicely day by day. :thumbsup

Any updates on timing for us Indy? :confused

First teaser shot of the work-in-progress:

There are a bunch of tweaks to be done, most of them fairly minor... but at least this gives you a taste of things to come. ;)

Kind regards,
Magnoli

Hey Indy, looking great so far. I did have a question regarding the tweaks you mentioned, any chance you were referring to the orientation of the horse head? In the image below you can see the difference. On the prop, the top of the head is toward the handle, while on yours, it is on the opposite side toward the tip of the blade. I know it is only a slight difference, but now is the time for us to voice our opinions/concerns; before anything is cast in stone...or metal.
