EOD Concept Truck.

I will be making this into a model for the concept artist. the artists Name is Carlo Balassu and all concept images are his design.

The Model will be 18 inches in length. and to get an idea on size the tires are about 3.5 inches. this will be an Acrylic and styrene build. A one off, and hopefully just molding the tires.

Heres a few pics. of the concept truck.

Ok got the wheel printed out, 6 hours later here it is.. i just sprayed some primer so it shows up better. im not going to clean it up any more than this. this is just for mocking up. the final wheel will be printed on a high rez machine and molded. im still waiting on few drawings of the top and back so i can laser cut all the parts at one time.

Thanks for looking.

Are you doing an interior for this?
The reason I ask, is that most EOD trucks have a ramp for a Bomb Disposal robot, however since you didn't mention the era of this vehicle, it may have Disposal Robots that can fly and hover if it is from the future.
I did a little of this work when I was in the military so this project intrigues me.

As a former crab. I have a few years experience with the robots and other equipment. Im still waiting on the rear and over shots from the designer. But hes familiar with the trucks so im sure everything will look ok.

OK, got a few more renderings and was able to start cutting parts. we are still deciding if we want to put an interior in this. heres a few pics of what I have so far.

Thanks for looking.

I still need to get some acrylic for the windows and then ill draw out the front, top and back.

Got a little more done on this, cut some inner supports and started on the roof and back. also drew out the grill for the front, but need some acrylic to laser. acrylic holds the details better than styrene due to its higher melting point. still have to get the front figured out then I will cut those parts.

Heres a few pics.

Thanks for looking.

Back again. First I cut some acrylic pieces to use those as a ledge for the roof parts. Then I made some cross members for the main body to add some strength. then I marked it all out to keep everything square and started gluing. now that its cooled off the weld on actually takes a while to dry, so I got it all tacked. and ill come back tomorrow and re glue some spots. next ill bevel the roof parts so they fit together nice and tight with out any filler.

heres some pics. Thanks for looking.
