Embroidery questions - leather gloves? Any options out there?

Hey

Been having an idea bounce around in my head for a while, and I just don't know if it's possible, so I thought I would ask the best talent pool on the planet.

I have wanted to get a pair of leather gauntlets (think old black 3 musketeers kind) with various sigils and runes embroidered on them.

I know you can do it if you are assembling the glove and do it before you sew it all together, but I was wondering if it could be done on just a regular pair of already sewn/assembled gloves? The design work I have in mind has smaller runes and designs on the fingers, and bigger designs on the cuffs.

My google-fu failed me, all I got was a ton of places that offer designs stitched on the cuffs of work gloves or knit gloves, no place I am pester via email.

So.. anyone with a machine or experience know if this is possible, or impossible, or just a gigantic pain in the ass possible ?

Thanks
Chris

At bike rallies (motorcycle, not pedal) I often see stalls with machines that can take a picture and embroider it onto clothing there and then. They do shirts, leathers, baseball caps and so on.

So long as the underside bit of the machine fits inside the garment and the leather isn't too thick, it will cope perfectly well.

However, if the garment is assembled the machine will stitch through any lining material.
If you can, it might be worth picking open a seam...

Might go the seam route...

Gotta find someone who can resew the glove together though :lol
