Re: Elysium - AMERO Bank Notes

I've just come across shots of the 10, 20, 50 and 100 Amero Notes as well, I'll update the PDF once I get those done too.

Re: Elysium - AMERO Bank Notes

Excellent work as always, thanks :) out of interest what sort of paper would be best for these? It states on prop archive they were printed on Heavy paper, what do you think would be best? :D:thumbsup

Re: Elysium - AMERO Bank Notes

A heavy paper would be good, however the original looks like newsprint (a rough texture), I think it depends on personal preference really, I haven't actually printed them out...come to think of it I haven't actually printed any of my paper props out :p

Re: Elysium - AMERO Bank Notes

Its true he never has

If you can get it use Smooth 120gsm for them I do for the "newer" bank notes and if you have a paint roller and a Very clean rough surface put the paper on the surface and make a couple of rolls over it gives the paper a texture not unlike real notes, I use an A5 sheet of sandpaper works great put again its personal preference and it only makes slight changes to the texture but in some cases "little is good"

Thanks for the input :) I'll have a look and see how it goes :thumbsup

Hi guys,

here's my take on one of the ID cards and the business card from this movie.

Enjoy

Re: Elysium - AMERO Bank Notes

I bought a set of production made Amero notes on e-bay awhile back. I've been meaning to scan them, but since I upgraded my pc, I discovered my old printer isn't compatible any more so i have to get a new one (if I can find the money).

Hopefully, once I get a new one, I can scan and share them here. (if I'm not to lazy that is:sleep)

so this is the step by step way I go about making a leather patch.

Did anyone see the little South African flag on the side of the ship when Kruger and his buddies chase Max after the data heist?

Yep, indeed! There were tons of South African 'in jokes' in the movie not least of which were Kruger's background as an 'ex 32 Battalion member' and the acronym CCB that was the same as that used by the Apartheid governments clandestine KGB or Gestapo style enforcers...

These files were suggested by Obie71 and 97% of the text is deciphered:

The only foreign element I used was the Elysium logo which I found online. The photo of Kruger was enhanced in Topaz Photo AI (not the best source) and the small code-like text next to the top right corner of the photo was guesstimated. These are standard LTR pages (216 x 280 mm).

These are the same pages, I just corrected some of the typo/spacing in the original files.

There are more CCB and medical files, but are very low-res:
