Every armor component was carefully molded to capture detail from the inside of the vac formed parts.
Every…component. Every one.
All the fabric based components were accurately patterned and recreated as well.
For most people, the very first time they have every laid eyes on an original body suit and neck seal. Just utterly incredible that these are still in existence and available to EFX.
Many including myself never thought that a day would come where we would be able to own a Stormtrooper suit as perfect and accurate as this.
It is as close as you can possibly come to owning an original.
It really is a dream come true.
This looks incredible. My only nit pick is the trimming and shape of the shoulder bells. It's probably the photo not doing them justice but the eFX bells dont seem to show the same form as the originals. They still resemble the RotJ trimming style. I'm not suggesting they're anything but cast from original but they just don't look quite right. To be fair, neither do the RS bells but that was definitely down to my poor trimming.
a minor detail but, can you say if the hand plates are a new sculpt or cast from the real deal ? cheers
I don't understand. Is it intentional to mislead for a sales thing or was this a flub?
Here are a couple pics of our first prototype as well as one of the original screen-used helmet being carefully prepped for molding.

Very interesting for now.
A few questions that might help us understand better the eFX offerings:
- Will the TK armor come assembled on mannequin when shipped, or do you need it to put it yourself?
- Will this be available without the mannequin? Just armor, helmet and accessories?
- What kind of mannequin is used here: fiberglass or foam, flexible or fixed, can it be disassembled to fit better when shipped?
- Will this Stormtrooper come with a blaster too? If yes, then what kind: DLT-19 as seen in the pics, or E-11 - also will it be made of plastic/resin or metal, will it be cast from screen used/Sterling?
Thanks
It's a writing glitch...
Gino did not write quite clearly enough, and you missed the glitch (I did too first time through and had to re-read).
Try this on for size:
"Here are a couple pics of our first prototype as well as one image of the original screen-used helmet being carefully prepped for molding."
The knee trimming is quite...interesting too. I see a lot of return edge on the screen used suit but not as extreme as the SDCC proto suit is showing.
I am surprised in what near-pristine condition that donor hero suit (well, "stunt" holster attachment, but mostly hero/promo TK suit) is. Is that a 100% confirmed screen match to the circled trooper in those screen grabs?
With regards to the Boba Fett prototype helmet being smooth, I would assume it would have to be as it will be repainted, the ESB helmet utilises a very intricate layered and part topical finish, and so I imagine (though I am probably wrong) the paint marks were very lightly removed? Accurate stencils could have been made from the physical locations of the damage on the original? Again, just speculation
