EFX reveals BOBA FETT LEGEND, STORMTROOPER LEGEND, STORMTROOPER ARMOR!!!!

Fantastic news!!!

Good to see Brian still knocking them outta the park!

Every armor component was carefully molded to capture detail from the inside of the vac formed parts.
Every…component. Every one.
All the fabric based components were accurately patterned and recreated as well.
For most people, the very first time they have every laid eyes on an original body suit and neck seal. Just utterly incredible that these are still in existence and available to EFX.

Many including myself never thought that a day would come where we would be able to own a Stormtrooper suit as perfect and accurate as this.
It is as close as you can possibly come to owning an original.
It really is a dream come true.

This might be "the one" then. As much as I love my RS suit(s), knowing this might include accurate knee/shoulder bridges/ab button plates AND the undersuit and neckseal (how elusive are these two...), this really has me excited. This will have all the accurate interior strapping included, I hope? Will the snaps be replicated down to the brand name? ;)
And did the original hero helmet that this one will be cast from include "real" HOVI mic tips or just resin casts?

I know there will probably not be a definitive answer so early in the process, but I have to ask...can you ballpark when this will be up for sale? Also, is the 2000$ estimate that is floating around really accurate(-ish) with all the cloth parts, the mannequin and boots included?

So many questions...

Dammit!
Every time I try to leave, they pull me back in.
This looks incredible. My only nit pick is the trimming and shape of the shoulder bells. It's probably the photo not doing them justice but the eFX bells dont seem to show the same form as the originals. They still resemble the RotJ trimming style. I'm not suggesting they're anything but cast from original but they just don't look quite right. To be fair, neither do the RS bells but that was definitely down to my poor trimming.

The shoulder bells do definenetly seem to have the warps taken out of them particular to this suit but the forms look correct to ANH.The suit I got from RS was from a prototype mold mold that kept as much warp and dent intact as possible. I didnt want corrected parts or interpretations of any sort.I am definetly going to try and afford one of these but I really hope for minimal clean up.I can see most parts like the ab and chest contain warps particular to this suit so it's looking really positive to me. Beautiful stuff. :)

The knee trimming is quite...interesting too. I see a lot of return edge on the screen used suit but not as extreme as the SDCC proto suit is showing. ;)

I am surprised in what near-pristine condition that donor hero suit (well, "stunt" holster attachment, but mostly hero/promo TK suit) is. Is that a 100% confirmed screen match to the circled trooper in those screen grabs?

Very interesting for now.

A few questions that might help us understand better the eFX offerings:

- Will the TK armor come assembled on mannequin when shipped, or do you need it to put it yourself?
- Will this be available without the mannequin? Just armor, helmet and accessories?
- What kind of mannequin is used here: fiberglass or foam, flexible or fixed, can it be disassembled to fit better when shipped?
- Will this Stormtrooper come with a blaster too? If yes, then what kind: DLT-19 as seen in the pics, or E-11 - also will it be made of plastic/resin or metal, will it be cast from screen used/Sterling?

Thanks

Hey Gino, Great stuff man! I'm very excited! Now I understand why you sold off your amazing Boba Fett helmet.. When I saw that for sale I was a little sad! This is definitely on my must purchase list now. I just need to find someone to buy my GMH! haha

Quick question.. will the accessories to available separately for the TK armor? neck seal, holster, boots, under suit?
and just out of curiosity... Was the original armor painted?

Thanks Man!

I don't understand. Is it intentional to mislead for a sales thing or was this a flub?

I'm not following... has any other licensee ever produced ABS helmets and armor before? I don't recall any.

This is seriously awesome. It's so amazing to see this stuff getting out into the world. Now to start getting $$$ together for that helmet!

Here are a couple pics of our first prototype as well as one of the original screen-used helmet being carefully prepped for molding.

It's a writing glitch...

Gino did not write quite clearly enough, and you missed the glitch (I did too first time through and had to re-read).

Try this on for size:

These are the EXACT same questions I was going to ask so I'm hoping Gino or someone else can chime in with more info.

With regards to the Boba Fett prototype helmet being smooth, I would assume it would have to be as it will be repainted, the ESB helmet utilises a very intricate layered and part topical finish, and so I imagine (though I am probably wrong) the paint marks were very lightly removed? Accurate stencils could have been made from the physical locations of the damage on the original? Again, just speculation

Nailed it - "helmet" singular, not "helmets" plural.

I noticed that same thing about the Stormtrooper belt rivets right away. LOL

This whole thing with the Stormtrooper and the ESB Boba Fett helmet is just awesome, but since I am a full fledged ROTJ Boba Fett costumer, and not a prop collector by any means, I have no actual plans to pick up an ESB helmet, even this one cast off the hero. But I do LOVE beyond words that this will be available for folks. :)

Well, yeh but being its smooth and there are chips filled in cracks not there...how close is it REALLY to the ESB now. Its lineage is ESB sure, but how watered down? And how watered down will the actual product be? Follow me?

Agreed.

I don't understand why it must be "cleaned up" at all. We'd all prefer seeing every single detail.

Gino can you educate us as to WHY is has to be less than a direct cast with masterful paint?
