Time to sell my gear. Although, how many years do you figure it'll be before we see finished product? :)

Got to admit, I was thinking the same thing. I'm betting 3-4 years before we see the trooper armor and 2-3 years for the fett:D Love their work though, really enjoy my vader legend and mcquarrie vader helmets so I'm sure the fett will come out fantastic.

The "GMH" or Grant McCune helmet was not cast off the screen used ESB that tear in the back wasn't on the screen used helmet...

Google is your friend. http://www.fparmor.com/gmh.pdf

Thanks but you might want to know what we're talking about first...Boba Fett Costume Resource - The Grant McCune Boba Fett Helmet the actual GMH has all physical damage from the prepro1 helmet...and you can even see the texture of the paint. With that out of the way, this helmet does not...

So is this

A A cleaned up pull from the mold they made?
B Was there a lid they got from the pull they made then cleaned up and cast again?
C Was there a casting made from the mold they made molded cleaned up a casting from the second mold of the second gen cast cleaned up....

Can you see where this is going...lots of things have been changed on that version in the pic so what Generation is it? No way to tell with out asking.

Not really.

Some of Spocks ears from TOS are still around and I have a Gorilla Appliance fro Battle for the Planet of the Apes that looks like the day I got it in 1973

+1

It would be a great stroke of luck if latex survived undamaged for 30+ years

IF they're properly been taken care of. UV, oxygen, other radicals can damage latex pretty hard. There were over 56 pairs of hand guards made; WHERE are they?

The majority?

Probably LONG gone.

I know where one pair is though! :lol

By the same logic there were more than 56 Stormtroopers - where are they :) And they weren't made of latex.

The sandtroopers pauldrons and backpacks were are they?

The answer is tossed in a skip in the 1970s.

My thinking and it is only a theory is the rubber hand guards were glued on to the gloves . Between ANH and ESB probably fell off the gloves and possibly fell off during filming (which may account for the nutty hand guards in Tunisia put on as replacements) and the solution was a more solid solution - which turned out to be vac formed guards we see in ESB and ROTJ.

Remember the suit eFX had access to was shipped over to the US before the release of ANH to film the scenes after filming finished in the UK and was used for extra added scenes. The same suit would have been used in the holiday special.

I've seen heaps of close up pics now and it Seems the suit has retained all the bumps and warps of the original especially in the return edges and surface of the thighs. The sniper plate is especially funky looking like the original. Please, please,Please Gino make sure these things make it to the production suits,I'm loving it so far. ;)

Ben

Finally. This is one sharp suit. I think that fandom, prop builders and all the years of waiting have paid off. Now, as if work is ever done... Lets get a Vader!

Little question.

About the efx legend hero helmet you wrote:

EFX STORMTROOPER ANH HERO HELMET LEGEND EDITION
Before you ask if we announced this already, the answer is yes… well sort of.
Except now, EFX has decided on a new course of action for this replica.
Fiberglass!

So the legend helmet will be made out of fiberglas.Ok.

But below you wrote:
EFX STORMTROOPER ANH HERO ARMOR LEGEND EDITION
For the first time in history, EFX is doing what no officially licensed company has ever been able to do - produce Stormtrooper helmets and armor made in ABS just like the screen-used originals.

Does this mean if you would buy a armour set with helmet you get the helmet made out of ABS, but if you buy a single legend helmet you would get one made out of fiberglas?

About the Boba Fett helmet .
If this also will be offered in the legend line, does that means it will also have the screen accurate interior and working rangefinder with LED's?

-Too early to say. Will most likely come partially assembled, but that will really come down to a shipping issue to be determined much later in the process of having this produced.
-No.
- It is being displayed on a heavily modified flexi-mannequin. Again, it is too early in the process to say what the final mannequin will be made from.
- Can't answer that yet either. I know Gino wants to include a weapon, but whether that will happen or not is still, very much, up in the air.

- Will the TK armor come assembled on mannequin when shipped, or do you need it to put it yourself?
- Will this be available without the mannequin? Just armor, helmet and accessories?
- What kind of mannequin is used here: fiberglass or foam, flexible or fixed, can it be disassembled to fit better when shipped?
- Will this Stormtrooper come with a blaster too? If yes, then what kind: DLT-19 as seen in the pics, or E-11 - also will it be made of plastic/resin or metal, will it be cast from screen used/Sterling?

Thank you for answering those questions, Art. If this comes with a semi-flexible mannequin and a blaster it's a 100% must have purchase for me. Now he hard part begins which is the long wait until these are actually available.
