EFX reveals BOBA FETT LEGEND, STORMTROOPER LEGEND, STORMTROOPER ARMOR!!!!

Is it possible that the armor may be sold without the helmet... or at the very least without the manaquin?
I think it IS AWESOME that a full on statue that is poseable and also wearable is going to be available!
But I personally would love to be able to purchase JUST the hard parts of the armor without the helmet.

At this time, I don't think the ABS helmet will be sold independently of the armor set.
Only the fiberglass Legend version will be sold independently (as of last we talked).

1. I know these are being billed as a prop, but it CAN be worn, provided you fit, correct?
2. Will it have all the screen accurate strapping?
3. When will the pre-orders open up?

1. You are correct, these are not being marketed as costumes.
They are made exactly to the size of the originals. If you happen to be able to fit inside the suit, then you would be able to wear it.

2. We haven't discussed the particulars of the strapping. I would like to keep it as authentic as possible.
However a lot of the vintage hardware will most likely be replaced with the modern equivalents.

3. Not sure yet. This is in the infant stages of it's development.

Gino,

Will the option be offered of ordering the full ABS armor and helmet with a mannequin so you can have an out of the box "ready for display" statue? Also, will there be an option for a blaster to go with it?

Dont know if it been mentioned yet but efx takes forever with there props. Ill be surprised if these are released before the end of the new trilogy.

Hey Brent,
We very much would like to offer a specifically designed mannequin to go with this armor, either as an all included package or as a separate add-on to the purchase.
We will be exploring all those options but right now do not have any definitive answers.

As far as blasters go, we would also like to include one as well.
However it is complicated.
If we were to do that, we would have to produce them domestically due to gun laws and producing domestically means it would be a lot more expensive.
There are concerns that could add too much to the overall price, but it is something we are going to look into and see what can be done.

What? They are making a new trilogy??
J/k :)

Trust me, we as a company are every bit as frustrated (if not more) with the timeframes or production issues that constantly arise with trying to produce a product as specialized as what EFX does.
The problem is that we demand production pieces to be as close as we can realistically squeeze out of a mass production environment and that simply takes time.
Many times painfully so.
We would much rather have it take longer and be right (or at least as right as humanly possible within the constraints of mass production) than to release it quicker with issues that we feel could have been fixed had extra time been taken.

For example, the Darth Maul Legend saber that we are about to release.
I saw the sample from China and I thought it was one of my paint masters.
Sometimes the factories shine though and get things correct much faster than anticipated.

Sometimes they nail the most difficult aspects of a piece right away.
Sometimes they just can't get the most simplistic of things correct and takes forever.
It's maddening to try to predict. You just have to roll with the punches, have some patience and do whatever it takes to get them where they need to be.

.

But then dont take on so many props at one time dude! I can respect that, and Im cool with delays if I can get a better product but jeez, were still waiting on the avengers stuff. That being said this stuff looks awesome. The reason the delays suck so much is BECAUSE THIS STUFF LOOKS AWESOME! lol its all too much of a tease.

For the lovbe of Goodness. If these come out fast a bunch of people will be complaining that they don't have time to save up.

EFX is giving you guys the most amazing pieces ever. Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, A Boba Fett Helmet made from THE Boba Fett helmet. Not a mold maybe made from, according to, etc bla bla. Gino has the darn thing in his hand.

Oh makes me so mad I have to get out of this hobby. EFX is sure not making it easier.

And while I'm on the subject I can't believe I am seeing more complaining than excitement. A full Stormtrooper Armor from a complete set used in the film. What an amazing piece and people are complaining. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What spoiled children we have become.

Bryan, Gino you are not making my exit easy. It's killing me. Everything you have shown I want. SS Y wing and Star Destroyer. My 2nd and 3rd favorite ships after Millennium Falcon. Oh, it's killing me. Wedge helmet, Biker Scout, Stormy, Full Stormy, Boba, oh the humanity.:cry :cry

Ignore the complaints, continue the incredible work. Screw the bozos and God bless you both.

Okay complainers you can go ahead now and get mad that I said you people should stop complaining.

Hey guys, just got back and am still getting settled in from SDCC.
I've wanted to post while at the show but internet access was not cooperating.

If you guys want to start a Q & A, I can field the questions to the best of my knowledge.

Ok....go!

Gino,

Can you show us more pictures of the hero neckseal?

What material is the neckseal made of?

Was the source hero armor painted or raw ABS?

Thanks in advance.

I have a question and it may be a stupid one, so please don't shoot me. But is this source armor the hero armor seen in the Hero Stormtrooper photo shoot or is that another armor?

Was the source hero armor painted or raw ABS?
That question was answered earlier in the thread. The answer was that it wasn't painted.

I'll try to get more pics of the neck seal.
Can't talk about material specifics.

All the screen used trooper armor was unpainted ABS, including this hero set.

No, the armor you see in the promo shots you're referring to is a different helmet and armor set, both of which are still in the archives, but are both incomplete.

Thanks for responding, Gino. I don't know about everyone else, but I would certainly be willing to pay extra for a specifically designed mannequin and a blaster. That would be the Ultimate 1:1 Stormtrooper display for my collection. I just hope it doesn't take years for all this to come to fruition. :)

Hi Gino,

On the screen set of armour pictured the square rivet covers are missing from the plastic part of the belt. Did you guys have to remove them and remove the rivets to cast the plastic part of the belt?

Did you also remove the knee plates for casting or where you able to cast them whilst still in place?

I presume the hand guards are still intact for the screen suit even though not pictured as the replica ones look great.

I have to get one of these......... please offer the armour without the mannequin as shipping will kill me for a full size package.

I know this is a long shot but I have every correct piece of vintage strapping and original fixings for the ANH trooper is there any chance of an unassembled version of this?

Brilliant :thumbsup

Gino I'm sooo happy your the person involved in getting this done. I'm so excited for it I can hardly contain myself. The only question I have is,can we see more pics of the original armor and it's components? It looks to be in perfect condition given its age.

Ben
