eFX Limited Darth Vader helmet- photos

There is one or two things about this run that will just leave you guessing. What the differences between this and that is and why it was done that way is just one of them.

I got mine from Redford films. The box was sealed with the original EFX tape, and had never been opened. The acrylic sheet for the base had pitting on the side that is "down". The brushed metal base sheet had scratches. And, the acrylic and brushed metal sheets were installed in reverse, which hid the mounting hole in the base (b/c it's off-center). That was a head-scratcher. Took me a minute, then I finally disassembled it to suss out the problem.

Good thing I only care about the helmet. Which, near as I can tell, is flawless. I'm an original owner of a VMO2, and not to disrespect Graham's and Ojika's work, but the casting from EFX really is a jaw dropper. I'm not schooled on the finer points of the surface detail that I've read EFX eliminated for their run. But, I'm tremendously satisfied with their LE version. From the posted pics the LE dome seems a bit shinier than the Legend, which is more the look I prefer. If I want brush strokes and other signs of production use, I can always repaint it. Good show, EFX.

From what we have been told in the past, I believe the plaque number has nothing to do with the helmet or what order they were made in, but it would be nice to know exactly what that number means.

I think they put the plaques in when they arrive in the states. I know in the past, both MR and eFX would let you return something for a replacement and tell you to keep the plaque and not give you a new one with the replacement.

I can't wait to see how your fix comes out.

Exactly, your helmet could have been the last one to be made but tagged with a plaque # of #001 or vice versa, so the plaque# doesn't correspond at all with the # maybe that number inside might be more accurate of the production # in the order it was made or again they just lined up all the helmets and start marking #'s in them without respecting the order of production
