eFX is going to continue the Muppet "photo puppet" line

Why don't they go back to Henson's original crew? Aren't they the authority when it comes to Muppet construction? Or are they now the Disney crew?

Many of the people who USED to work for Henson were all laid off when the company fell on hard times. Many of them are now working for the company that is making the Muppets for Disney as a contractor (Disney does not have an in-house staff for making Muppets).

That contract company had been consulting with MR (as had an individual that used to be associated with Henson years ago) and now it seems they are consulting with eFX. No one still employed by Henson is consulting - after all, Henson only makes SESAME puppets now, not the classic Muppet Show characters.

BTW, lots of conspiracy theories about Henson turning things over to Disney's control after Disney bought the Muppets years ago, such as Henson sending over incomplete or inaccurate patterns, destroying original molds, etc. Another reason the poser puppets have a rough history.
