Efx has a new $300 Darth Vader (precision cast replica) Helmet

Here's a couple side by side with the eFX Limited Edition & the new PCR. I think the PCR is ever so slightly bigger, but it's beautiful & well built.

Great looking helmet. Thanks for posting pics.
seems the dome on the PCR is more rounded on top.
doeent have that squared off look at the back end of the dome.

connects via magnets or velcro?

So any chance the SE version of this will be released?
No sense in checking the EFX site (No updates), or e mailing them (no responses), for any info on availability/release

seems more info can be found here.

Great comparison shots. It looks fantastic imho. It looks as good as the limited to me. Now, do I wait for the se that may never see the light of day or order the standard? Hmmmm

I have been watching efx website almost daily. waiting to see when they could be ordered.
I havent seen an "add to cart button"
how did you order the helmet?

Hello Ice, I ordered the Scout looooong ago and received the Vader helmet "for free"

Good comparison shots! I can see quite a few difference between the two though, most notably the widows peak and mid strip. As a low budget plastic helmet though I suspect you're not going to get any better.

It looks very nice.Sharp and well built.with the right paintjob it can look fantastic! Thanks for the pics russellsch!:):thumbsup

That's my dilemma, too! The helmet looks great, but I'd prefer the SE (now).

Great comparison pics, thank you......especially the face to face pic.....you can really see how the PCR is made for costumers..can you put it on as one piece? the sides of the neck and the reduced sides of the dome with the added swoop seems like it is possible. As opposed to putting the face plate onto your face, then putting the dome on afterwards

Thank you for all the kind words everyone :cheers
It's just like original. You must separate the face & dome to put it on. & there are straps too.

You can see the magnet just over the eyes.
Tonight, after taking these pictures, I did put it on. Thank God that it's as light as it is, cause it's not all that comfortable. If you troop in this, you'll want to add padding. Especially over the bridge of your nose. It also feels loose, although, I might not have had it strapped down all the way. You'll still look damn good in the mirror though :lol. The Limited, though heavier, is more comfortable however.

I think I speak for many a lurker when I say that I appreciate being able to sample the heady heights that you guys fly in with this cheap offering. Never would have gotten here otherwise...

That first pic shows the big mold injection rings on the inside of the dome, really wish those werent there.

Perfect thats all so clear inside and with screws.I will add some layers of fiberglass inside of mine and close all gaps with putty before I repaint the helmet.
I think that could be a very nice helmet next to my MR Studio Scale One!;)

The shape of the chin vents, and of the the teeth/mouth are distinct difference as well. The PCR is cut perfectly straight...or so it seems through these pics.

Beautiful Pics, Thanks:) One weird thing I noticed on the PCR: The masking lines between the black and the gunmetal paint on the right cheek is off a bit...the gunmetal overlaps onto the front of the cheek, giving the right side the look of the ESB fencing helmet in the pic below that had the clear sections in both cheeks. Didn't keep me from ordering one, though:)

PCR came out very nice! Almost hard to tell the difference, I doubt casual fans will.

Haha,right...but the PCR is ANH so if you want it screenaccurate you must repaint the normal edition facemask.I have no idea how accurate the SE ones came out in person.
