eFX Gets Star Trek License

I don't mind the delay, but I really wish that eFX would give us some sort of official update, instead of us getting 2nd hand info from someone who has a source on the inside.

I absolutely agree. I've no problem with waiting, I'd just like some updates once in a while! :)

Ok, im with you guys now too... I cant even get anyone to pick up the phones anymore when I call... Id love to know where these are at.

I hope these get to us sometime this month!:angry any update info would be nice!
besides I was hit by the curse!:eek

Got an update for all yall... the curse is nearly lifted. There is a customs issue... Based on the pre-orders from the retailer sites there were considerably more tricorders ordered without covers than with. The customs documents, however, say that there has to be an equal number of covers and tricorders shipped. They are currently trying to get the customs document revised. Should be on the boat by the last wk of January and start shipping beginning of Feb. If you ordered directly through eFX you will get the cover option when you finish your check out. Have faith, be patient... and buy buy buy.

The curse may be almost lifted, but it looks like it wants to get one last jab in. :lol

Just for a first-time buyers sake, could someone tell me where the option to get the cover is? When I log in on their site, all I see is Account and Contact info, then Address Book, then Order/Billing History, which contains the $100 pre-order. Am I missing something, or will it update the page when they're ready to send them?

Sorry for bumping the thread for no good reason, but I'd love to hear from some of you who've done this before, just for peace of mind. :)

If you ordered directly from eFX, when they are ready to ship out and you make your final payment, supposedly there will be any option to by cover.

Im surprised nobody has commented on the revisiting (and improving upon) the TOS Phaser. Im saving my money now for that one.

I'm with you! MR's Phaser was good, but the P1 shape was wrong and the front hood over the nozzle on the P2 was too tall. And I'd like a jeweled P1 on the Trek TOS Phaser too.

I'd like to see a new "hero" version that matches the show prop. It has to have the retracting front nozzle when the P1 is taken out, a feature that the MR TOS Phaser didn't have. Also, the bronze color on the hande should be closer to a warm silver like on the Greg Jein real "hero" prop.

EFX, the MR Trek TOS Phasers (P1/P2) sell for $1000-$2000 on eBay still. You have a big market and audience for the original TOS trek Phaser if you make one. It's still a huge seller to this day.

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to this one!

Just got the email:

We are pleased to announce that your First Contact Mark IX Science Tricorder, order number XXXXX, is scheduled to be en route to the U.S. from our manufacturing partner in Asia on January 30. Barring any shipping or customs delays, we anticipate to start shipping the Tricorders the week of February 15. We will update you if there are any unexpected changes to this schedule.

I'm sure everyone else got this email as well. :p
