EFX DARTH VADER ANH PCR HELMETS (SPECIAL and STANDARD EDITIONS)

And the efx website is still not working. I do not understand how they can let their website sit there not working for this long now. Even if they had to remake it from scratch, it should not take this long as their website is pretty basic.
There must be more to it than just being under maintenance. Any business relying on taking orders could have a totally new site ready in much less time.

At Wondercon Gino told me he was the guy working on the website. Maybe he can answer that question...

There are only two explanations for the whole website thing 1) They hired the same team that did the Healthcare.gov site or 2) The company is in trouble. Seriously, I work in the IT world and I have done migrations from Novell to Microsoft for an entire school district (45+ locations, 40,000+ users) in less time than it has taken their site to get "fixed". I think this was the last straw for a lot of people, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking they had some pretty big bumps in the road but are finally listening to the customers and are going to prove their abilities and capabilities to deliver a product on time and without using the pre-order model (which most people would have been hesitant to do anyway).

No one will argue they have a lot of talented people on staff and make some awesome products. Unfortunately they are really suffering on the business side of the house and are unable to deliver on anything. Personally, I think they will end up releasing at least the standard version, probably in time for the holiday season.

So I'm guessing at this point the Special Edition version was a one off and we wont ever be able to purchase one, since none have popped up anywhere.

All of this website mess makes it look more and more likely those who preordered/paid for a biker scout helmet and even the ironman mark 7 helmet will not see the product or get their money back.

Mine showed up and I love it! The plastic is a little thin, and I'd be happier if it was about $100 cheaper, but it is my first true ANH helmet (I still have the 1977 Don Post). I was holding out for the fancier paint scheme, but am quite happy with the pristine look. I'd have to see the other in-hand before deciding which I'd prefer.

Now I'm mulling over whether or not to cancel the Anovos. No rush to decide, apparently.

How far we've come in about 40 years...

Which one is the 1977 Don Post? Left or right?

(just kidding)

That 1977 Don Post looks different than other ones because the one shown in this picture is one of the earliest DP Standard Vader helmets produced, evidenced by the recessed chin vent and the different dome design and trim.

why can you buy the helmets on this shopside and not from EFX direct? Are this helmets comming with the Original EFX box?

Here I am in all my glory in 1978.

And why, yes, that IS a calculator I'm using for the chest box! Plus, welder's gloves spray-painted black, a dyed sheet for the cape, and my dad's old bathrobe with the sleeves cut off for the inner tunic. There was no RPF back then so I didn't know any better...

Let's all keep in mind that until 2016 their In Development page had products scheduled for release in "2009".

I wouldn't be surprised if their website is down for "maintenance" for years to come.

I'm happy at least I got the standard Vader helmet. Still hoping the SE comes through. But not holding my breath.

Am I the only one who wonders how it can be that a certain person always pops up to sell his t-tracks, but seems to be diving deeper than the Nautilus if it comes to problems or questions regarding efx delivery ?

Nope, you're not the only one. He'll pop right up to sell his or bash other member's so he must monitor the boards pretty closely. Other members have mentioned it too.
