eFx Collectibles Announce THE AVENGERS Limited Edition Replicas

Thanks guys for the info!

I think mine will be here on Friday.

Like a few other guys here, I have the aluminum Chris Field's Shield painted by General Frosty. That thing is amazing and will be hard to beat!

I do like how the eFX shield is licensed and somewhat limited though. I'll wait until it comes and I get my hands on it.

Here is a short unboxing video I found...

Where's the cheapest place to get a Mjolnir right now? It's like as soon as I got this shield, a lightbulb went off in my head and felt like I just needed a Mjolnir, lol

Sorry JKKS, but I disagree. Mine arrived yesterday (#59). Was it worth the wait? Absolutely. Yes it doesn't have that metallic shine/finish that an aluminum one has. But it's not intended to. It's meant to replicate the shield in the Avengers. And for my money, it does just that. Having previously owned an aluminum shield, I like the spun lines on this shield better. The paint apps on the front are dead on. The depth of the cuts are definitely a bit shorter than my previous shield, but to me it's just a matter of preference. I like the depth. The bracket system embedded into the back is tremendous. The overall thickness of is definitely an improvement than my prior shield. The leather work is also very well done.. There are flaws however. The paint job on the back doesn't hold up to an aluminum shield. In certain light it looks like a well done metallic rattle can job. The other major "miss" is the display system. One word summation, heinous. However all the other little goodies make up for that somewhat, particularly the "gong" case. Overall, I give it an 8.5/9 out of 10. Well done efx. Your customer service and deadline/time frames need a lot of work, but the quality of the product is indisputable, imo. My $.02...

Sorry JKKS, but I disagree.

And you're welcome to. Like I said I'm only judging the shield based on pictures and videos as I will get mine from the 2nd batch.
That being said based on pictures and videos, I'm not impressed (yet). And I'll go as far as saying that I now regret ordering the EFX Shield instead of the (more expensive) King Arts one.
Now maybe I'm gonna change my mind once I got it in hands (and I sincerely hope so) but I'm usually blown away by the first in hand pics of the stuff EFX produces. Which is not the case here. And frankly even if I don't like it all that much, it it's not the biggest deal ever. The shield is very reasonnably priced (IMO), its value will probably only go up with time and I need a "clean" classic shield to go with my battle damaged and stealth ones anyways.

First post!

Here are a few cell phone pics of my efx shield. I am very happy with it for a stunt replica display piece. I still want to get a nice hero display version to go with it, hopefully on here!

Picture with the old Factory X comic version shield.

I still have not bought a shield yet and still can't decide which one I am going to spend my money on. I have the efx Thor Hammer and its a beautiful replica well worth the price I'm going to give it a few more weeks and see what people are saying so far KA seems to be getting more praise. Based off the pics posted here I think the efx version looks nice wish the star was a little better but the color is great. I need to see some better looking KA pics with better lighting and I really want to see a pic of someone who has both of them next to each other for the best looking comparison.

I had my shield for (2) weeks now. My This has given me a little time to think about it and I am very happy with what I got. The sshield is great. My edition number was 998 of 1500. This seems odd as according to all available information the first container shipped to efx contained only 200 shields. So I thought I was going to get a lower edition number. Maybe this had to do with the fact that my pre order was through a 3rd party seller and not efx directly. The bottom line is i got in early enough that it only cost about $650 shipped (a $50 markup) and considering that they seem to be going for a lot more than that now I could not be happier with this purchase.

I am still kicking myself for not getting the efx Mojnior while it was still available at a justifiable price. I really cant pay $900 for it. I currently think that paying the 850 plus shipping this would cost may not be a bad deal if you really want it, as the price may only go up.

My display shows the efx shield (above) and my metal shield (below) I built last summer, I had to build the metal shield because I could not stand waiting so long to get my efx shield.

Is anywhere still selling the captain America shield??

I don't know of any retailers selling the shield, however efx does have a list of retailers on their site who carry their products. The only place I know of where the shield is available currently is elite collectibles on ebay. This is where I got my shield. New in factory packaging. Mine was actually shipped from efx directly, but now all of their shields will ship from Maryland, So obviously extra shipping costs are being added to the overhead.

They are a reputable seller and at least I can tell you it is not a scam. Personally I would stay away from the independent sellers who purchased this with the intention of flipping it for a quick profit. I am sure that most of these will also have been opened and handled by the seller. There is no shortage of sellers on e-bay asking more than $1000 for the shield or starting bidding around $800.

At this point I don't think the asking price of $850 + shipping is all that bad. A good aluminum shield that is not part of a limited "officially licensed" run will cost at least $800.

The place I bought mine is linked below.

They are making a limited run of 1500 Avengers shields to sell worldwide. I have no idea on how many customers have actually received their shield, mine was number 0998, and I thought they were being manufactured and shipped in batches of 200, but I must have been wrong on that as my number would not make any sense if there were only 200 shields shipped so far.

Looking around at some other forums the retailers are supposed to get the next shipment, as all of the efx customers who paid in full got shields from the first batch.

It may be possible to get one at a later date through one of the retailers listed on the efx website, but I don't think that the price will be at or even near the original pre-order, paid in full, price of $600. If this is anything like the Thor hammer. The price will probably only go up, I still regret not getting that back when it could still be purchased for around $600.

A list of offical efx retailers can be found at:
http://www.efxcollectibles.com/t-usa.aspx

However I am not sure it is a updated list as the efx website has not changed in years and the retailer I purchased through is not even on the list, and my item did ship directly from efx.

Just to clarify, the seller Elite Collectibles Inc. is an authorized EFX retailer and is the largest supplier of most EFX product which started with the PCR helmet editions, including the Commander and Incinerator exclusive helmet editions.
They do have a limited supply of in stock shields remaining, so there is no need to wait.

Hi I just got my efx shield and I'm all the way from the eastern part of the world(Philippines)... I bought it from an efx authorized reseller here which i found on their website. I got lucky they still got one available and I paid around 700$ with shipping since I just ordered it last week. The shield looks great, the only thing about this that I found somewhat wrong is the paint job. I think some of the paint overlaps if you look really close. I really want to see the KA version. I got 1410 of 1500 btw.

I'm not sure how you would measure it but could someone with an eFx shield measure how deep the dome of the shield is? Like from the top of the star to the table?

Ok thanks, I'm gonna keep checking this website for more updates about the shields, so if anybody knows anything new please tell us ;)
